Happy Yorkshire day! Feeling a bit nostalgic about my home county this week – it seems like so long ago is that I was preparing for my incredible journey on , my inspiration for the second week challenge was the magnificent Mills of the Huddersfield valleys! Such beautiful sandstone, the industry, which the area was built upon! Whenever I head back to Yorkshire, it always includes a walk along the canal in the Marsden Valley where these magnificent buildings stand, instantly making me feel at home🥰

Cocktails at the new cocktail bar ! I can heartily recommend the pina-sidhla (colada) and the meadowsweet and sour! Locally foraged herbs turned into their own syrups! 😍🥰

Wow, we are having an awesome time here in Brighton! Yeah, so lovely catching up with and what a cool place to be! We are here supporting a friend running the Brighton marathon for breast cancer research – go Lydia, you’re doing amazing! What an absolute star!💫⭐️✨☄️

Let’s not forget who looked after the country during the most horrid two years – the guys on the front line today where the people putting their lives and their families lives at risk, their mental health in jeopardy and The country safe!!! Let’s clap for the healthcare professionals once again during their time when their support is needed!!

The Wagglers pit viper… I am a massive lover of nature but this one I avoid like the plague😂. It was just sat on the post next to the minibus which we were taking to our next destination… we were paying it far too much attention so it slithered into someone’s garden!😳 it’s very beautiful in its own threateningly deadly way don’t you think?!

As most you are aware, big adventure awaits! Sally and I took the opportunity to travel to Sumatra and learn about what environmental conditions are impacting the wildlife there- principally the endangered orangutan- such a noble humanistic mammal- I just love them! Their story is currently a sad one, but thanks to charities like OVAID ( ) Who are doing everything in their power to fight for their cause, through rescue centres for the injured and orphaned, and rehabilitation to get them back into the wild, many of these animals will have a happy ending! .tully and I have been raising money for the charity by selling special edition Orangutang mugs which we have designed and made ourselves – there are a few left and you can obtain them on Sally‘s website sallytullyceramics.co.Uk . I will be in Singapore by the morning and then Sumatra the day after… Watch this space for the adventure to come! unfortunately Sally Has been unable to come at the last minute so it’s just me on my own this time😕. The kindness of our fellow Potters never ceases to amaze me! Sally and I had forgotten a couple of key items which we needed to perform our raku demonstrations all weekend… We tried to find an iron monger to make some tongs which won’t really fit for purpose, but thanks to you and Who came to my rescue yesterday, the Raku experiences could carry on! Thank you so much girls we are so appreciative of your help! (And your salt fired porcelain ceramics are awesome too!)

We’ve had such an awesome first day here 😊 so lovely of to pop over for a chat! What a lovely fellow family potter🥰. In other news we forgot our raku tongues so .tully had a little blacksmith adventure😅

It’s a bit of a milestone day here on farm- on this day a year ago I moved down to Cornwall which has turned out to be the best decision I ever made! I have come so far in that year – I have learned so much about Alternate firing techniques with the help of the awesome .tully Here at the studio. I have met so many wonderful people and adapted to a bit more of a laid-back lifestyle. I’ve even got up close and personal to a lot of the farm animals which has been super fun! The ceramic festivals have been amazing and we are about to embark on another year of them – hope to see you all at Hever Castle next week! I will be celebrating with a bottle of Merlot tonight from the amazing (thanks to Rob, bridge and family Who bought my house from me) cheers guys and here’s to another awesome year!

Had the most amazing visit today from and his lovely family frank and Maude the hound! Had a lovely pint and a pastie as you do in sunny Cornwall! So nice to meet you in person Miles! The Throwdown family just keeps getting bigger and better!🎉🥳☺️🥰
