The Bohemian Spell

I am SO BUMMED!! I have been working so hard taking care of my Milkweed- keeping it clean of aphids etc… (pesticide free of course) and this morning I went out to find the plants covered with these black spots!
I am@thinking perhaps it is some kind of fungus?? I googled it and didn’t get much back…
Does anyone have any ideas???

Had a visit from this guy yesterday!! Yikes!!😳😱
So a neighbor left some Milkweed on my porch I had tried to plant it but it didn’t take so I went to cut it back there was this guy just hanging out!! I almost grabbed him in an effort to cut back the dead Milkweed… instead I screamed bloody murder!! Pretty sure they heard me in New York!! 😝 LOL
Anyhoo he is called a Nursery Web spider. I relocated him- And I was pretty proud of myself seeing as he was a good 3 inches in size!!😳😱

First snowfall ❄️ in Ct.

Today my daughter celebrates her 26th trip around the sun.
The relationship I share with my daughter is one I am forever thankful for. It means everything to both of just”to share an honest loving relationship in which the negative dark cycle of family disfuntionhas not only been broken but has no place in our relationship. So I woke up one morning and Frank had dropped his silk button on the plastic window of the enclosure. Not sure if he could drop another silk button if I moved him I decided to let him go into chrysalis and move him after he had plenty of time to dry.9
I moved him and hung him where he had plenty of room to eclose,
Then last night I noticed that his chrysalis had a bit of an indent from forming on the plastic, along with this dark mark.
I would L🌸VE it if the more experienced Butterfly Mamas🦋would weigh in and share their thoughts as to what that mark is???

I am BEYOND EXCITED!! My first eggs of the season!! I have been patiently waiting and today I feel like a little kid at Christmas!! I get immense joy from raining these little nuggets and seeing them into flutter hood , learning and caring for them!
I have not been feeling well and this was the perfect addition for me while I am winding the road to recovery!! Between my new Birdie tenants; to opening the Monarch Nursery to seeing the first Hummer of the season at the feeder; June is shaping up

My Birdie condo has been hung (I can’t wait to see who moves in!!) and we are ready to get our garden on!! I have lots of flowers started from seed for the magic garden and am adding some more pollinator treats for my pollinator friends! I am all about the little pollinator garden community that moves in for the Spring/Summer!!

LED GROW LIGHTS!!

Grow Lights are here and up!!
So I had a bit of a brain cramp and bought grow lights that were twice the size of my grow rack( to my defense the rack was packed away)
and when I saw said grow lights I thought that they would ✨magically✨ be the right size-
❌NEGATORY!❌
Seeds are happy and I am too! This is my third year playing the seed starting game and the last two years I admit I was pretty clueless! Last year a flower grower friend had told me that I needed grow lights when starting seeds;but I have a super sunny living room and decided that I didn’t need them-boy was I wrong… I once again had leggy stretchy seedlings and was riddled with disappointment…
…So fast forward and here we are!! In doing my research everything I read said that LED Grow lights should hang 6-12 inches above seedlings/canopy due to burning..so I am off to the races… would L🌸VE Any and all advice from the LED gardeners on their experience with light height…😊💡🌱
