The Commish and I have been talking and believe it would be a good idea to make this league a Keeper League. We also believe in Constitution and Bill of Rights and, that my friends, is why it is imperative that we put this to a vote. No more than two keepers because let’s be honest, you don’t need to keep your entire roster. Your first rounder will probably be one of your keepers and a second is insurance. Get on here and cast your vote on whether you want this league to be a keeper or just make it a normal Plain Jane league. This has been a public service announcement from the Commissioners Office.

Just give me a yes or a no in the comments.

I created this page in order to prevent the annoying mass texts and Facebook messages. I don’t know how anyone else feels about them, but I get frustrated pretty quick when my phone is chirping every few minutes.

With that said, this can be a forum for us to use to discuss any issues we are having, trade talks, and my favorite of all, smack talk. Cody brought up an interesting idea to me of weekly videos/promos that each of us could make s**t talking to each other. I am all for that but don’t feel obligated if your s**t talk game is subpar.

We will also utilize polls so everyone has a say in how this league is run. I play in a fantasy baseball league that is run very well by a former college teammate and I would like to see this league run similar to his with open dialogue and max participation of league decisions.

The next few days are going to be key for us setting this league up for success. We have a couple of decisions to make as a group regarding draft pick trading (since it’s already been brought up), trade deadline date and a few other minor rules. Please, if you feel like there is something we can do to improve the league, say something and we can put it to a vote. This is America and is not a democratic dictatorship.

The final thing I would like to put out is this. To me, a successful league does not only include the things I’ve stated above. I can’t speak for Cody on this, but I’m sure that he would agree with what I am about to say. If you don’t want to be involved in a weekly basis or simply just can’t by setting your lineup, the let us know. We would like this to be as competitive as possible and additional “bye weeks” because someone is not setting their lineup or replacing injured players is not going to help this league. Like I said, if you feel like you can’t put in the time or just give up, let us know so we can find someone to take over your team.

My hope is that we can keep this league going for years to come. I know I enjoy it, as I am already in five other fantasy football leagues and three fantasy baseball leagues, so let’s buy into this thing and make it fun.
