Wishing a happy birthday to the foundation of our family and organization, our grandmother Josephine Tasca. Although Noni is no longer with us, no single person did more to help build our family and organization. She was the loving support and strength behind three generations of our family. Happy Founder's Day!!! On this day in 1943 a young Bob Tasca, Sr. started at the local Ford dealership, Harry Sandager Ford, on Reservoir Avenue in Cranston, RI sweeping the floors and helping out in the shop. Ten years later he would fulfill his childhood dream and open his first Ford dealership. 79 years and four generations later, the Tasca family continues his lifelong commitment of YOU WILL BE SATISFIED. Thank you to Pop and Noni for having the ambition, toughness, and resilience to make this all happen!!!

Yesterday's Facebook outage may have delayed us, but we couldn't let October 4th pass without recognizing what would have been our founder and grandfather's 95th birthday. Happy Birthday Pop. We hope that you and Noni had a lovely birthday together in Heaven. We hope you didn't make her cook!!!

Success stories are rarely smooth rides the whole way. 67 years ago today, the first Tasca Ford was decimated by Hurricane Carol. A 28 year old Bob Tasca, Sr. swam for his life to a nearby church steeple to escape the flood water only to watch his lifelong dream of being a Ford dealer be washed away. From this moment of utter disappointment, he and his wife Josephine were able to rebuild at a new location on Taunton Avenue in East Providence and continue their dream. The Tasca Family and the entire Tasca team looks at this date as one of the most important in our history, as it would have been easy for Bob and Josephine to give up. Their perseverance and toughness 67 years ago became the foundation and inspiration for the next three generations of our family!!!
