DR EKALE NUTRIHEALTH DOSAGE 🔥

EXPRESSING BREASTMILK

There are certain times when a mother cannot stay with her young infant. This may occur when the mother or the baby is sick and needs special care or the mother may need to leave the baby for some time to attend to farm or home chores or to work. During such instances, a mother can express milk (squeezing milk from the breast into a container) to give or leave for the baby. Expressing breast milk supports exclusive breastfeeding and avoids opting for other milks.

Expressing milk is useful to:

✅ Feed a low-birth-weight baby who cannot
breastfeed

✅ Feed a sick baby, who cannot suckle enough

✅ Keep up the supply of breast milk when a mother
or baby is ill

✅ Prevent leaking when a mother is away from her.
baby

✅ Help a baby to attach to a full breast

✅ To help with breast health conditions, e.g.
engorgement

✅ To transition to another method of feeding or to
heat treat breast milk

ALL MOTHERS SHOULD LEARN HOW TO EXPRESS THEIR MILK, so that they know what to do if the need arises. Certainly all those who care for breastfeeding mothers should be able to teach mothers how to express their milk.

4 FOODS TO STOP BUYING 🔥

DR EKALE NUTRIHEALTH DOSAGE 🔥

FOODS TO AVOID WHEN SHOPPING

Like I mentioned, avoidance does not imply elimination from the diet.

✅ Highly processed Carbohydrates such as breakfast mealie meal, pasta, rice, flour, instead go for Roller meal, millet, sorghum, brown rice, oats, whole wheat pasta, brown flour. In short go for whole grains or minimally processed foods.

✅ All added sugars and sugary beverages, you can either take your coffee, tea, porridge, oats without sugar or use low caloric sugars (artificial sweeteners).

✅ Junk foods and highly processed foods such as cakes, crisps, biscuits, fries, pizzas, and deep fried foods. Instead of fries go for baked potatoes or oven baked chips.

✅ Soak dried beans before cooking. The idea behind soaking dried beans is that it makes the beans cook more quickly and evenly. It also breaks down some of their complex sugars, making them easier to digest.

Soaking beans also helps to to prevent gas (ifisushi)

Unsoaked dried beans contain oligosaccharides, which are hard to digest — even when they reach your small intestine, the beans can’t be digested fully. When the beans reach the large intestine, good bacteria break them down to digest them further. This leads to the production of gas.

✅ Alcohol, especially lagers, ciders, wines.
Some alcohol have low sugars Like rum, vodka, tequila, and gin, most spirits don't contain added sugar. The mixers or cocktails like juice, soda, and simple syrup will get you! If you're looking for a low-sugar alcoholic drink, choose any beverage that doesn't have additional sugary ingredients; this can be a seltzer, a light juice, or a diet soda.

✅ Plain yoghurt is better for you as compared to the flavoured ones. Plain or regular yoghurt is low in fat and is great for your gut health. It contains a good amount of proteins and probiotics which aid digestion and improve the immune system. Instead of consuming unhealthy snacks go for a bowl of plain yoghurt

How GINGER & GARLIC cures FIBROIDS 🔥

Dr Ekale NUTRIHEALTH DOSAGE 🔥

Benefits of consuming ginger and garlic if you're suffering from Fibroids.

Garlic
It is rich in vitamin C and B6 which are effective for balancing female hormones. It’s antioxidant properties cure fibroids and prevents its further growth. Garlic removes catabolic wastes from the pelvic cavity and uterine and ovarian tissue, thereby reversing fibroid growth. Chew garlic cloves on a regular basis and add some to your food.

Ginger
By stimulating the endocrine glands, ginger helps the body gain hormonal balance. As a result, the excess supply of oestrogen is stopped and the growth of the fibre is checked. You can consume grated fresh ginger.

Blessed day ahead 🥰🙏

☑️
IMPORTANCE OF FOLIC ACIDS IN PREGNANCY

One of the most important ways to help prevent serious birth defects in your baby is to get enough folic acid every day during pregnancy.

Folic acid (or folate) is found mostly in dark green vegetables like broccoli and spinach, legumes such as beans and peas, and enriched grains.

Folic acid greatly reduces a baby's risk of serious neural tube defects.

Neural tube defects are birth defects that involve incomplete development of the brain and spinal cord.

The most common neural tube defects are:

1. Spina bifida: when the spinal cord and spinal column don't completely close.

2. Anencephaly: when the skull, scalp, and brain do not form properly.

3. Encephalocele: when brain tissue protrudes out to the skin through an opening in the skull.

These defects happen during the first 28 days of pregnancy, usually before a woman even knows she's pregnant.

That's why it's so important for all women of childbearing age to get enough folic acid, not just those who are trying to become pregnant. Half of all pregnancies are not planned, so anyone who could become pregnant should make sure to get enough folic acid.

Most times, we don’t eat foods rich in folic acid that is why the supplements is highly recommended and the recommended dosage daily is 400mcg.

I believe you find this health tip useful. Feel free to ask questions.

TOP BREASTFEEDING TIPS for WORKING MOTHERS:

-Start expressing and storing breast milk 2-4 weeks before going to work.
-Breastmilk can be stored for 6 months in the refrigerator.
-Build a stash of breast milk. It gives you more flexibility and focuses that you'll need at work, knowing that your baby is sufficiently fed.
-Get familiar with the breast pump before returning to work.
-Establish a strong milk supply and a good breastfeeding routine with your baby.
-Have a discussion with your employer and let them know about your needs and space for breast pumping at the workplace.
-Do not forget to introduce the bottle to your baby. This is to make the baby familiar with the bottle ni**le.
-Get a high-quality breast pump. It can be a Manual or Electric pump and a Single or double pump. An electric double pump is efficient and saves time.
-Create a pumping schedule that matches your baby's feeding schedule, this will help you build a strong supply of milk and be in sync with the baby’s demand.
-Maintain a healthy and balanced diet rich in whole grains, protein, vitamins, and healthy fats. Stay hydrated all day.
-Be kind to yourself.

Breastfeeding is a skill that is developed over time. So, do not beat yourself up when any challenge comes up. Give yourself credit and evolve through the practice.
Breastfeeding is a precious gift that you give to your baby and yourself. It is not an easy journey but it is so worth it. Breastfeeding can be challenging though, especially for working mothers. Make sure you talk with your employer and state clearly your rights as a breastfeeding mother.

Lastly, take care of yourself, and don’t let breastfeeding have a toll on your mental state. Make time for yourself and seek a support group that can help you stay strong and resilient. Also, do not forget to seek help from your health provider or midwife through the breastfeeding journey.

*Infant's body close to the mother's body(infant tummy to mother's tummy)
*Mother supporting Infants whole body and not just neck and shoulders

Signs of correct positioning

☑️
HOW TO SUPPORT HER BREAST:

To prevent results of poor attachment, all mothers need skilled help to position and attach their babies. Babies should not be given feeding bottles, especially before breastfeeding is established. Teach the mother to support her breast;

👉With her fingers against her chest wall below breast
👉With her first finger supporting the breast
👉With her thumb above

The four key points are:

1) Baby’s head and body in line
2) Baby held close to mother’s body
3) Baby’s whole body supported
4) Baby approaches breast, nose to ni**le

His mouth needs to be wide open (see pictures) to take a large mouthful of breast; she should not move herself or her breast to her baby. She should aim her baby’s lower lip below her ni**le, so that his chin will touch her breast.
