Gather your creative tools and let's embark on this floral masterpiece together!

Materials Needed:

Tin of 24 Inktense Blocks
Tin of 24 Inktense Pencils
Graphic pencil
Number 6 round brush
Pot of clean water
Step 1: Sketching the Foundation
Begin by sketching an oval shape on your canvas, allowing your creativity to guide the orientation and angle. This oval serves as the starting point for your daisy, influencing the overall look and feel of your artwork.

Step 2: Adding Vibrant Yellow
Apply a thin layer of Sun Yellow Inktense color to the center of the daisy using both the Inktense Pencil and Block. Blend the color gently with a wet paintbrush, creating a soft and radiant base for your flower.

Step 3: Infusing Color and Texture
While the paint is still wet, use the tip of a number 6 round brush to add various colors from your Inktense collection. Let the colors bleed into each other naturally, creating an organic pattern reminiscent of a budding stamen. Maintain glimpses of Sun Yellow to enhance the lively and irregular appearance of the flower's center.

Step 4: Outlining Petal Shapes
As the paint dries, lightly sketch in the shapes of the petals around the center. Embrace the uniqueness of each petal by ensuring they are not uniform in size or shape, mirroring the natural diversity found in real daisies.

Step 5: Adding Depth and Definition
Switch to your Inktense pencils to intensify the colors and add depth to the flower's center. Dip the pencil tips in water and dot over the corresponding color patches, creating a rich and textured appearance that brings your daisy to life.

Step 6: Enhancing Petal Details
With clean water, gently wet each petal and use the brush's tip to blend colors from the center outward. This technique adds delicate textures and highlights the intricate nature of each petal, capturing the essence of a real daisy in full bloom.

Step 7: Final Touches and Stems
Return to the center of the daisy with your pencils to refine details and enhance color contrasts. Create a graceful stalk using wet-on-wet methods, adding a final touch of realism to your botanical masterpiece.

Unlock Your Creative Potential:
Explore this versatile technique beyond paper canvas β€” from wood and fabric to canvas, the possibilities are endless. Let your imagination flourish as you create unique daisy artworks that showcase your artistic vision and mastery of color blending.

🎨🌿 Discover the Magic of Metallic Paint for Painting Plants! 🌟✨

Are you looking to add a touch of sparkle and sheen to your artwork? Look no further! 🎨✨

Introducing the Derwent Metallic Paint Pan Set, perfect for creating stunning effects on your paintings. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, these metallic paints will take your artwork to the next level. Here's what you'll need:

βœ… Derwent Metallic Paint Pan Set
βœ… White or black paper
βœ… Graphic Pencil for sketching
βœ… Waterbrushes
βœ… Paper towel

Start by sketching out your plant, capturing the beautiful shapes of the leaves. The Derwent Metallic Paint Pans each have their own unique qualities, so by painting each leaf separately, you can explore their individual characteristics. Combine different colors like golds, pinks, blues, and silvers to see how they behave differently when mixed.

To create highlights, use a damp waterbrush to lift out color from the wet painted leaf. This will give your artwork a beautiful shimmering effect. Add shadows and variegation by dropping a small amount of complimentary color into the leaves and let it spread naturally or blend it with a waterbrush.

Once the upper leaves are dry, add leaves in shadow using deeper purples and vivid blues. Blend into silver and ice blue to create highlights. Don't forget to add shimmering focal points with golds!

Complete your painting by adding darker shades for the bottom leaves and stalks. For the plant pot, create curves and shadows using a wash of silver and darker silvers. Add texture to the plant stems and soil for those final details.

The Derwent Metallic Paints truly shine on black paper, showing different colors rather than just shiny metallic. They are also unique in that they can be mixed to create new metallic colors. With a palette of 12 colors, the possibilities are endless!

Try painting with metallic paint and see the magic unfold! ✨🌿

Prepare your materials. Grab a 2H pencil, Derwent Inktense Paint Pan Studio Set, Derwent Inktense Paper, sticky tape, masking fluid (optional), a wide paintbrush, and a round paintbrush.

Step 2: Start with the initial washes. Use a wide brush to apply a light wash of Turquoise for the sky. Gradually darken the top by adding layers. Wet the paper and apply a light wash of Bright Blue for the water, keeping it light near the skyline. Paint the distant hills on the horizon with a mix of Bright Blue and Violet. Add a light wash of Light Yellow Ochre for the sand.

Step 3: Time for some seaweed! Mix Racing Green and Burnt Yellow Ochre to create a pale dirty green color. Paint the seaweed areas, keeping the edges irregular. Use dabbing motions for added texture. Add the shadow of the red boat.

Step 4: Let's paint the boats. Use a round brush to paint a light wash of Bright Orange over the red boat. For the blue boat, use Mid Ultramarine and shade the inner side and footwells. The white boats need a pale blue wash. Be careful not to paint over the highlights.

Step 5: Bring in the distant boats. Use darker shades of Mid Ultramarine for the hulls and Paynes Grey for the masts. Create mast reflections with a lighter Paynes Grey mix.

Step 6: Add the final details. Layer Racing Green and Paynes Grey for more texture on the seaweed. Darken the bottom of the blue boat and the shadow on the water. Add reflections and interior shading to the other boats. Play with colors like Red Oxide, Cherry, and Mango for different parts of the red boat. Use Natural Brown for the wooden planks and rear seat. Finish with a light Black for the front metal plate.

We can't wait to see what you create with Inktense Paint! Share your masterpiece with us.

Happy painting! 🎨✨
