Look who came inside on his own tonight.

Our handsome boy has so much to learn but is settling in well. He’s still timid with people and we’re working hard to build his trust. He’s making progress and tonight he cautiously approached close enough for some cuddles for the first time. Usually we have to approach him and gently corner him and then carry him inside. Rocky was living at a remote construction site, fed by kind workers but to afraid to be caught. We helped his rescue angel catch him in our trap so he would be safe. He likely never wore a leash or collar or slept indoors before coming to Dogwood but he’s already picking up leash training.

Rocky is an Aussie/border collie type of about a year old. Timid but sweet, he loves other dogs and so far has been respectful of confident cats.
