[Volume up for the full effect] I can honestly say I used to know how to play this tune. It's been awhile. π But this baby grand piano was too fun and too beautiful not to mess around with prior to the ball. π Wearing my custom ballgown from Ensembles of the Past - of course. ;)
[Volume up for the full effect] βΊSomething funny for your evening: I think the issue is... my fairy godmother never gave me instruction on doors. π€·ββοΈ (Or rather... what you do when you are ready far too soon for the ball. π) . [Volume up for the full effect.] A magical evening spent at the The Jones Mansion in Findlay, Ohio. There were dances, scrumptious fingertip foods, and smiles everywhere. Enjoy this glimpse at it all. β€οΈ
Castle time in Germany π©πͺ! The city of Tubingen holds so much excitement for me... and yes, I act like this (I actually do) because I am happy and excited to see such history! π . . . #ensemblesofthepast #castle #dance #travel #gate #castlegate #twirl #opendoors #dress #Tubingen

Molding the Art in Bloom bodice with steam!
Now that the bodice has been darted, watch as I steam some shape into it. It's amazing what some water and pressing will do!
Art in Bloom - Test Twirl!
Yay! My lovely model, Pascha Latrisse, doing a test twirl during the construction of her dress for the Art in Bloom fashion show at the Springfield Art Museum! This is half the actual garment and half mock-up garment still... But my model is totally rocking it so far!
Draping the Art in Bloom Dress!
Draping the bodice for the Art in Bloom Dress!
This is probably the most important part of the design process, but also the most fun. It's where we see the dress come to life from a simple piece of fabric! My model, Pascha Latrisse was very patience during this process, and my apprentice, Mindy, did a great job of capturing all of this as it was happening. We would love to know what you think!
