I have been hitting the brick wall of that specific painting for months (clearly). What I am doing is clearly not working! And that is unfair to you, my patrons.

So I’m going to do this:
•draw a name
•you can have any one something you’d like that is of comparable size and time commitment (would-be comparable price) that I have made, or that I make in the future. Anything that is unclaimed is yours for the asking! And if you’re not sure if it’s comparable, it is always ok to ask.
•if I ever finish that contemptible painting, it is still yours!

Have you experienced, or do you experience, chronic pain?

The minimum amount of time for a chronic pain diagnosis is twelve weeks of pain that does not resolve with treatment. Many millions of people live with chronic pain, and many people don’t know that they have experienced something that falls within the diagnostic criteria for a chronic condition.

Making art about pain is not new, but it is highly individual and is a top tier coping and reflective mechanism.

I was in so much pain on my birthday this past Tuesday that I could not breathe properly for at least three hours while sitting still in a comfortable place. I could not walk to take my dogs out, and I could not stand up to hug my family members.
I am receiving treatment, but the diagnosis I live with regarding my pain is still extremely mysterious to the medical community, and there is no cure.

I am not attempting to garner sympathy— I know my community cares about and for my well-being, and for that I am grateful. I have sympathy, empathy, love, and understanding in abundance.

I want to continue an open dialogue about the circumstances in which I find myself every day, just like billions of other souls.

Tell me your story. I see you and I love you. We will dance again.
