Walk My Shoes

Walk My Shoes, Inc. is committed to community building through youth empowerment. We are currently operating in North Miami, Fl.

Walk My Shoes, Inc is a non-profit organization committed to improving educational outcome amongst youth from low-socioeconomic communities. The mission of WMS is to provide students from targeted communities with educational and social experiences to improve academic achievements and promote post-secondary pursuits while assisting with character building. We believe that juvenile delinquency stops where opportunity starts; when youths excel, communities thrive.

Hi guys, Sainte the founder here and as I celebrate the moments that make this birthday so special to me, I wanted to take over this page to share some of my greatest joys!

4 years ago, I met each of these young men as they joined the I’mpossible program through Walk My Shoes. We have had the opportunity to witness them evolve so beautifully Year after year, some went from lowest GPA to most improved in school, we’ve helped them transition to schools which they believed would increase their chances in succeeding, and we’ve exposed them to so much outside of their immediate communities.

I speak for the entire team when I say each of them hold a chunk of our hearts. They have helped us in unimaginable ways and for that we are so grateful. Seeing them becoming such powerful forces, we truly couldn’t have asked for a better turn out. We promised them to be their support system and they promised us to stick it through and successfully graduate high school with a solid plan. This past year as they each successfully graduated, they all have a clear plan of the next step in their journey. I cannot wait to share some of their testimonials on here.

Because they held on to their commitment, they each received a scholarship from us to apply toward their chosen next step (whether it was directly going to a college or starting a business) and I went to each of their respective homes to deliver some goodies along with other mentors and another sponsor whom I’ll be giving a special shout out soon!

Thank you Staf, Andrew, Kervin, Readchee for making me a proud mentor-mom and reminding me of my purpose on this earth.

If you are on the verge of extending yourself as a mentor and are wondering if the hassle and commitment is worth it, let me be the first to tell you, it is 1000% sooo worth it!
