Sand at Mass. beach turns purple; Here's why If you’ve been to one beach on Massachusetts’s North Shore recently, you may have noticed something strange and beautiful: Sparkling patches of purple sand.
The sun blinded me and I didn’t know what the photo was going to be of. I just wanted something/ anything to document the sun I could feel on my face for my first day off, after 2+ months of working every single day.
It’s been exhausting ofc. And the world has it way worse than me right now. Everyday I discover people close to me who don’t really care about lives lost, about the world they’re living in and leaving behind, the information they absorb and dissipate and the impact they have on the lives around the. That continues to shock, hurt and alienate me. It shouldn’t shock me everytime.
It seems the more we work with data, the less we deal with truth- if that is not alienating, I don’t know what is?
And in that spiral, I don’t know how to find the off button of my brain? I’ve looked for it on my walks and my sleep but it’s just not there. So I’ve found the mute button in being busy instead, which brings us back full circle to first day off in over 2 months.
