vacuumed and cleaned 3 spas in lava and plumbed a new pump in!!

good pointers but i like to have two filters replace the dry one when you remove the old to clean

it was getting chainsawed the next day- someone referred to me asked me to drive to Idaho falls to look at it and another

i put and new control system in it for less than 1000 with a blower, led lights, two pumps, and a blower were equipment i hooked up-

even the stereo worked and for less than 1000 they have a 15,000 spa-

i watched two get trashed this week because i can just do service but for less than 1000 they would of been good spa and sold at 4000 after 20 hours work-

not all spas are easily fixable but i can tell you which ones are

this spa was moved from idaho falls to shelly and that is what cost money- bought 700 it was sitting on the ground and aborbed 300 bounds moisture on 15 years

good luck if you are going to get a spa tech to come out on Saturday or Sunday but for me an extra day can mean a couple hundred to thaw and get back running without major damage or wait till Monday if you can get on their schedule and by then 500 to 2000 dollars of damage can occur-

number one check your spa daily and catch it is heater quits or gfci kicks or pump fails and when in the 90s we have some room to repair

when as today both in the 40s both had impellers in the pumps froze and would not run

I work late many evening during the week but like Saturday off but spent time in ammon and rexburg for two paniced customers

driving up from Pocatello and ended up after some advice and things I need them to do last night

today we had two success stories

no cracked pipes one split nut on a pump crack and one face on a wet end cracked- simple repairs

had left another day at these minus zero temperature you can end up with a 500 to 1500 dollar repair-

like a pet you take out to p*e daily treat your spa like a pet and check it daily balance ph and keep clorine correct and make sure temps are up

simple but each spring I repair dozens of spas that didn't catch in time and gave up

I've had my spa 38 years and never froze

so if you whirlpool bath spa is not heating and has a flo message on topside or three dashes-

your filter is dirty

your circ pump has lost its prime

or circ pump is dead

today the customer called and said he had a flow error and had taken the filter out and still an flo message on topside

i stock these pumps and just changed it out in the middle of a blizzard

i did not drain the spa- its nice to keep that water if possible but much more difficult to change

i replace with threaded stainless clamps not the hooky clamp they use
