Reminders for safety around tracks & trains:
✔️ Cross only where there are crossing signs
🚫 Never cross tracks when a train is moving
🚫 Never chase the train
🚫 Never try to outrun a train
🚫 Never trespass on tracks. It’s against the law!
🚫 Never walk or bike along train tracks
🚫 Never wear headphones or earbuds around train tracks
✔️ Stay behind the yellow line on train station platforms
✔️ Always look both ways before crossing the tracks

Brightline will continue with train testing in northern Brevard County with trains traveling at 79 mph with flaggers present at all crossings continuously from 6 a.m., Saturday, October 29 through 6 p.m., Saturday, November 5 while the new rail signal system is commissioned and train testing up to 79 mph can be expected along the corridor. Testing will include a 13 mile 18 crossing span from Sharpes through Cocoa and Rockledge. Work is expected to bring additional wait times at ALL railroad crossings. Stay off the tracks and never go around crossing gates.

Members of the American Planning Association are automatically members of both the Florida Chapter and the Atlantic Coast Section. Local/ Affiliate membership is encouraged. Members of affiliated professions, organizations, those holding local office, as well as APA members who do not reside in the Section area, may apply-see website for more information.
Additionally, Students currently enrolled in a Planning Program at the University level may become members without required dues, please see the website for application.
