Madagascar August 2014 - We Survived
I was running around the island for about a week on my own, up north to an island called Nosy Be. Then I was on a 10 day group tour with G Adventures.
You will all recognize someone at 0:11 .... nice surprise. But no Zebus ... :o)

The folder escaped me. So it's last.
Birds, a rare brown lemur, lizards and the tortoise farm ...
I was sick on the first day when everyone ELSE went .... so I went solo and got a personal three hour tour where I could take my time and not annoy anyone. Yeah !!!
The sunsets were pretty good .... pretty darn good.
And we had a short visit to a lady's house with the trees in the backyard.
It was very hot again ... however, the water in the swimming pools were very cold, meanwhile the lemurs I believe were body temperature.
Watch out for the traffic ... zebus, goats, and others
We got to the fancy town with the French Boulevards and the Churches everywhere. Then we got to the paper factory at the hotel we stayed at.
Then the long, long, long drive to Ranomafana
The kids followed us the entire time. Then we got to see the traditional healer. Then after dinner we had a dance lesson, full of music.
Wow .... all I have to say. Wow ... it was just an amazing way to relax and take it all in. No cares in the world. No stress, just enjoy the moment.
A long, long winding drive .... another one.
The long and winding road to the highlands. And then we arrived to the old Colonial French resort town.
This was Day 2 of our G Adventures trip. After visiting all the animals.
After we visited the man-made lemur island. I had never seen of or heard of a fosa before. Too bad I don't watch kids movies.
The more fuzzy brown and white ones ... and the brown ones too. Then we went to a private reserve, where they were on a man-made island. More of a photo-op kinda place. We learned they really like strawberries as well as the regular banana.
Now come the lemurs WAY up in the trees ...
Chamelons and other lizards ...
G Adventures Trip - Day 1
Beaches, tortoises, lizards, chameleons.
Another day, another trip, another island of lemurs. Komba apparently somehow means "Lemurs" in Malagasy.
My first encounter with the puff-balls. They were very, very tame. I think it has something to do with being fed by tourists on a frequent basis. Like everyday ??
