Great work P7, and a huge thank you to everyone who donated whilst they were in doing their shopping.
Going on tour is a great opportunity for the children and something they should remember for a lifetime. The support we have received from individuals and businesses across Hawick has been amazing and really appreciated.
Thank you everyone ππππ
We had an amazing joint training session this morning with Selkirk RFC Rhinos and Langholm Youth Rugby Trust, where we had over 200 children together who only usually meet at tournaments when they have to play against each other for the Win.
Today, it was about learning from each other, and was great to see them with so many smiling faces, as they got to practice with other children, learn from other coaches and make new friends in the process.
Thank you everyone, it was a great morning

Today we focus on our Clubsport Roxburgh Team of the Year, Hawick R.F.C
The phenomenal success Hawick enjoyed last season, which saw them go undefeated throughout both their league and cup campaigns, culminating in them winning the Scottish Premiership & Scottish Cup double. This League & Cup double was all the more rewarding because the Hawick squad was made up in the main, of homegrown talent developed through the Hawick Youth Rugby system.
Members of the Hawick RFC squad, Coaching staff and Committee are pictured receiving the award from Norman Anderson from the Committee of Clubsport Roxburgh.
Congratulations to the club from everyone at Clubsport Roxburgh, a truly inspirational year for you.

Some great pictures of the recently formed Hawick Girls Team down at Mansfield Park yesterday. They put on a great show and really enjoyed their first time with The Greens.
For any girls wanting to get involved with girls-only training this is a great opportunity, and a growing group in Hawick and across the Borders.
Well done girls, ππππ
A first at Mansfield Park today. The recently formed Hawick Girls team came to provide the Guard of Honour and half time game. They really enjoyed themselves and gave a great performance for those in the stands.
It was great to watch this team enjoying themselves and they were so excited to be a part of the day.
Well done girls, great to see you there, youβre welcome back any time.
ππππ
Selkirk RFC thank you for joining us Mansfield Park yesterday, it was a great afternoon and the kids had a great time.
It was great to have Selkirk RFC P6 Minis join our own P6βs for a joint Guard of Honour and game at Mansfield Park yesterday afternoon and to support our respective teams.
Thank you to all who participated and came to support. We look forward to Selkirk Minis joining us again in November for a joint training session.

Due to the rain and weather warning, training is CANCELLED this morning
Lots of the Minis will be playing in the Keown Trophy and Chrysties Quaich in the morning.
If you play for the school and enjoy it, why not come and try a session with the Minis on a Sunday morning, 9:30 at the Volunteer Park 3G pitch.
Looking back at our final tournament this autumn in Jedburgh at the beginning of the month, itβs time to reflect on our Chelley Trophy winners
π P5 - Ryan - for exceptional tackling in the final helping Hawick to win π
Both Hawick teams did really well, with Hawick white winning and Hawick green coming 3rd . Lots of smiles on faces and some awesome rugby being played
π P6 - with limited numbers available the whole team were nominated for trying their best throughout the day and keeping motivated.
π P7 - also awarded to the entire team who played superb. Best they have played as a squad and it wasnβt possible to single out any one player
Well done everyone. Training now continues every week till the beginning of December.
ππππ
Thank you once again Hawick RFC the P5βs had a great time which I think could be heard by their cheering and support. Our P6βs are looking forward to next Saturday when they will be joined by the Selkirk Minis for a joint GOH and game.

Flashback to the Duns Tournament two weekends ago and our Chelley Trophy winners were:
π P5 Jossy for an outstanding try saving tackle that secured Hawickβs place in the final
π P6 Kerr for his all round team work in defence and outstanding attacking play
π P7 Caelib playing his first tournament and was fantastic, getting stuck in defensively and also some great attacking.
Well done everyone
ππππ
Thank you once again Hawick RFC, the P3βs loved their time at Mansfield Park yesterday which was a great warm up for their tournament today at Jedburgh where they came third π₯
It was a great performance yesterday by the Greens and we look forward to being back again in two weeks time
ππππ
Good Luck to all the Minis going to the Jed Festival today, hope you all have a great morning

Being invited down to Mansfield Park by Hawick RFC is always a highlight for the Minis. Here we have the P7βs, plus the ball-boys, providing the Guard of Honour for the Greens as they went on to the field to face Kelso.
Weβd love to take the credit for the subsequent win, however weβll settle for providing the atmosphere to get the lads going.
This week the P3βs will be doing the Guard of Honour and halftime entertainment as the Greens face Currie Chieftains.
Go Well from all of the Minis

The number of hours of training to Minis Coaches last week, all of whom are volunteers who gave up their own time to improve themselves for the benefit of the children and the club
Weβre off to Duns in the morning for the next festival. This is a great time to reflect on the last festival in Peebles two weeks ago and recognition of our Chelley Trophy winners for that festival.
The Chelley Trophy is awarded after each festival to a child in each of P5-7 in recognition for something special that they have done that day. This could be a great tackle, pass or simply overall performance.
π P7 was awarded to Callum for some great open field evasive running
π P6 went to Alastair for stepping up in his defensive work which was outstanding
π P5 Blair for stepping up to play for another team that didnβt have numbers and scoring his first try in a competition (picture to follow)
Well done all, and good luck to everyone for tomorrow, hope you have a great morning
ππππ
The Minis love being down at Mansfield Park to cheer on the Greens, thank you again Hawick RFC for the invite, we look forward to supporting the home games again this year ππ
It was great to be back down at Mansfield Park this afternoon to support the Greens against Kelso.
Our P7βs provided the Guard Of Honour and Halftime entertainment and once again loved the experience of playing on the field where they hope to play in the future.

Training for all resumes at the Volunteer Park 3G pitch on Sunday 17th September at 9:30.
The kitchen will also be open for hot drinks and hot rolls
We look forward to seeing you all down there
REMINDER
For those training today, itβs down at Mansfield Park on the YM Pitch
As the Rugby World Cup gets underway, itβs a great chance to look back at the first few festivals of this season that the Minis have attended.
Itβs been a tradition for some time now to present a Chelley Trophy to a member of each team from P5 to P7 who has displayed the true values of the game that the Minis strive to promote.
Our first festival was Gala Maroonβd which was played on last years age grade rules.
π P4 were winners of their year group
π P6 Chelley Trophy winner was Darcy Marshall for his all round contribution to help his team play at a high standard
Our second festival was at Melrose last weekend played at current age grade rules. Chelley Trophy winners were:
π P5 - the coach was unable to single out a single player. The whole team played and worked together really well and they collectively deserved to win.
π P6 - Quinn Telfer for his all round contribution to the games, helping others to adapt to the new rules and leading by example.
π P7 - Harry Scott for great defence and some nippy feet, punching well above his weight
Well done everyone. The Minis are off to Peebles this weekend to go again.
Enjoy the weekend of rugby everyone. ππππ
At the end of last season the Hawick Minis were invited to Melrose Rugby Club for a festival being held in aid of Evie's Batten Journey. Hawick Minis decided that we should help with the fundraising by making a donation to the charity. With Evie being a P5 player it was presented by Hawickβs P5 team.
Rugby is a sport that brings people together, although rivals on the field, you make friends for life off of it and we wish Evie all our support as she continues to live with her condition.
