Happy one year anniversary to H & T! I can't quite believe it's been a whole year since I got to create the flowers for this stunning summer wedding. It's so lovely to have a excuse to go back through the stunning photos that took. .

In the midst of full on wedding season it feel a bit like that's all I talk about. So I thought it was time for a change on the grid. I will always have a soft spot for creating funeral flowers. There is something very special about flowers in that we use them to celebrate all aspects of life. From the very beginning of a life with a bouquet to celebrate the birth of a new baby to the very best of life, getting married, all the way to the end of life with flowers to reflect the person we have lost. Flowers are always there even if we don't realise it. I love to incorporate plants into my funeral work for you to take home and replant in your own garden as a memory of your loved one. If you would like more information about the different arrangements we make you can find it all on our website. https://www.bluehillflora.com/funerals

British Flowers Week! A whole week to highlight and celebrate all of the amazing blooms grown right here in the UK. Normally I would have an open day and at least one work shop planned. But this week is pretty manic as I am getting married next week! So instead I've decided to do Lonely Posy's this year as it is a bit more manageable at the moment. Also I hope they will bring a lot of joy. So over the next week everyday I will be leaving one of our cute posy jam jars around my local area for people to find and take home. If you don't manage to find one and need your British flower fix then I will also be at the Green Gathering on the 9th with flowers for sale. It starts at 1pm and is at the Glantawe Riverside Park. We would love you to come down and say hello.

It's been an entire year since I had the honour of curating the exquisite florals for this wonderful wedding. A gorgeous mix of whites, blues and purples that the couple mixed with dried to create a seaside theme. Photo by

Its that manic time of year where next years flowers are already underway even while we are elbow deep in harvesting this years crop. I've been busy sowing and pricking out biennials so they will have plenty of time to beef up and get through the winter. Our ranunculus and anemone order for next spring has also been placed already and I'm making my final tulips choices. It's always so hectic juggling this season and next season at the same time! This is always the time of year I start to feel stretched a bit thin. .

A group? Bunch? collection? Anyone know if there is a word for more than one buttonhole? I feel like there should be. Either way they are super sweet especially in these soft sugary colours to matching the bridal bouquet. I love a bouquets and buttonholes wedding. Super simple and elegant bringing those fresh personal touches to the most important people of the day. All welsh grown with some gorgeous sweet williams and extra ranunculus from

A beautiful alternative to a spray the sheaf is essentially a large flattish bouquet. It's perfect for natural burials with zero mechanics needed to create it making it fully compostable. It can even be made up of a series of smaller bouquets which can then be shared among family and friends after the funeral. This piece even had some forget me not and Muscari plants incorporated so the family could plant them in their garden in memory of their loved one. .

Our Story

Hi I'm Rhiannon and welcome to Blue Hill Flora

When you buy flowers from us its so much bigger than just the flowers.

Blue Hill Flora was born from a love of growing, working with mother nature and nurturing wildlife. I wanted to create a business which would be doing all it could to give back to the earth rather than taking her for granted. It is such a privilege to work with mother nature and I try to be gentle on her in every way I can while growing gorgeous cut flowers for my customers.

For as long as I can remember I’ve had my hands in the soil. Growing has been a big part of my life and has developed into a true passion. I’ve always had a small patch of garden I was given free rein in and, to my family’s amusement, was always proudly fetching vases of whatever was flowering into the house. Bringing Blue Hill Flora to life is truly fulfilling a dream and I can’t thank you enough for showing your support for locally grown flowers and helping to keep this dream alive.
