JFITNESS EXERCISE OF THE WEEK: Rear foot elevated split squat (aka Bulgarian split squat)๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™‚๏ธ

This is one of the best exercises you can perform in order to develop quads, hip flexors and posterior chain (hamstrings, glutes & back)๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ

- Easy to setup โœ…
- Helps prevent muscular imbalancesโœ…
- Easily adaptable โœ…

HOW TO๐Ÿ”Ž
- Load back with barbell as you would a squat.. alternatively hold dumbbells in each hand to reduce load through back!

- Balance on one foot, with your rear foot on a bench, box or plates(above)

-Keep back straight throughout the whole movement!

-Focus on shifting weight through the heal of the front foot!

We have been working hard with client Georgia now for 6 weeks, hitting 2-3 full body PT sessions per week alongside a monitored calorie countโœ…

JFITNESS ACHIEVER ๐ŸŒŸ after a 6 week training programme a change to Steveโ€™s diet, we have managed to help him towards his goal of GAINING weightโœ… we put Steve through a tough Hypertrophy cycle (GVT) and ran it alongside a calorie surplus.. Steve has gained 1.25 stone (just under 8kg) over 7 weeks (07-01-19 -> 26-02-19)and has just started his next training phase where he will be looking to increase his strength!๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿผ operation 10kg next! MOBILITY IN SPORTS! When it comes to sports, itโ€™s important to have good all round flexibility, mobility and stabilityโœ… stretching, foam rolling and band work is a great way of improving all aspects of the above! Particularly before and after sports performance!

For me, I always ensure I add this into my weekly routine- in particular the day before MATCHDAY, at the end of a light weight power session at a low intensity to ensure I am in the best possible physical condition I can be in to perform at my max capacity on the pitch!๐Ÿ‰ Not only does help promote durability, pliability and efficient muscle recruitment but also helps reduce joint stiffness, general soreness and reduces the risk of injuryโœ…๐Ÿ”‘
