Hello Teamcaptains! A short clarification concerning the torchbearer award:

It is not mandatory that you have to vote for a team. You are also able to vote for a group of people e.g. the Infernals (our impressive rule gurus), the WTC or other tournament orga team, the online league orga, the WTC judge or a specific podcast Crew.
Just explain in the section why you feel that this team / group deserves the award.

An update was made to the terrain pack.

Terrain sheet again The terrain sheet has been updated on the Player Resource Page. The most notable change was made to the hills.

Dear WTC participants,

I would like to address the topic of hill terrain, and how it will be handled at the WTC, after some participants voiced concerns about the terrain rules, and especially the WTC rules for hills. As a result of your feedback, we decided to use the terrain volume rules as per rulebook. They will be used as 1" high with all the special rules hills have in the rulebook (elevation, LoS etc.). We will update the terrain rules in the next days and update the link.

We do want to apologize for not providing the terrain pack before the list lock deadline. We were working under the assumption that the rules we proposed (or at least similar variations thereof) were somewhat of a common accepted way of playing, and would not impact the list building decisions. We now understand that our assumption might have been somewhat optimistic, and the broader international exchange that the WTC brings, has once again proven to be a good sense check regarding some things we took for granted.
We also understand some players felt disadvantaged by the rules, e.g. if their armies had a large number of larger based models, and hope using the rules as written in the rulebook will remove these concerns.

Even thought we are going back to the rules as written in the rulebook, we wanted to provide some clarity on the reasoning why we initially opted to diverge from using the terrain volume rules as written in the rulebook, and why we believe the volume rules for terrain as per the rulebook are often being replaced by similar “house” rules in many events and metas.
Warmachine, especially at its arguably most competitive event, is known for its clean and precise gameplay, supported by a ruleset that further enhances the ability of players to quickly and efficiently resolve measurement and rule disputes, and focus more on making gameplay decisions than arguing measurements.

With the rules back to the rules as written in the rulebook, we hope the discussions can be concluded, and you can focus on your final preparations for the event and getting those reps in. 😉

All lists were submitted in time and will be checked in the upcoming days. As soon as they are checked we will release a PDF file with all the lists and of course make all lists visible on Longshanks. Please be patient.

A short reminder that the list deadline is now very close. Please submit the lists for your team until 30th of June, 23.59 GMT+2 into longshanks. It would also be very kind of you to inform either Ben or Samir if you submitted your lists so that we can start list checking early.
If you also want your mascot on the front of your folder please send the picture to the WTC committee or to Samir directly.
If you have any further questions please contact us early enough. We would really like to release the lists as fast as possible after list deadline.

A couple of good information for you guys:

I can happily confirm that all the hotel rooms were booked successfully with all required information we got. We may post a list soon to make sure that all information passed on to us correctly. Thanks for this guys :)

I can hereby confirm that every team send in their team sheets and paid the full amount of money.

Also, all teams are already completely registered in the Longshanks app with all respective team members. This means that all teams are already able to register their lists and factions (which you don't have to cause the deadline is still a couple of weeks out).

The solo masters have only 5 spots left. If any player (maybe a replacement player), who is not already registered for this tournament wants to participate, please register soon cause we will NOT raise the player limit. You will have to book your hotel room by yourself, but if you need help with that, please contact me (Ben) or Sam Ir. We will help you gladly.

Last but not least:
If you send in your team logo until the list deadline we will make sure that it is on the cover of your team folder.

Today is April 1st, which means that there are only 14 days lfet til the final deadline for the WTC. Please pay your final due soon and dont wait til the last day.
It is also very important to fil out the registration document which was you got with your registration. Without it we cannot reserve any hotel rooms.

If any of you get accompanied of your partner / kids please also fil out the form for them. We need it for the exact same reason as for your team. Without it we cannot reserve any hotel rooms for you.

You will not receive a final email with payment information from us. You will have to add up the amount and send it all together to us via PayPal (with the Family & Friends option). If you have any questions, pls contact us early enough to find a solution for them before the deadline.

If you are also interested in the SoloMasters (or if you know someone who is interested) pls register and fil out the form and pay the money if you want a hotel spot. If you do that after the final deadline of April 15th you will have to take care of a hotel room by yourself.

A teams have paid there pre-payment fee which means that we will have a full team roster this year with 5 rounds. Thank you very much!

Now the teams have around 4 more weeks to pay the rest of the registration fee.
Please fill out the registration team form. We need that also til APRIL 15th to reserve the necessary hotel rooms.
And very IMPORTANT: if you bring your partner/ family we also need the money and the specific form for the partners until APRIL 15th.

Here is the ranking list for 3rd teams:

The ranking is only interesting in the case if we would have more teams registered then we have space open. Because we only have 4 registered 3rd teams and 4 spaces left, all registeres 3rd teams can pay the fee and get their spot.

The first deadline for the teams is over and I am happy to say that we have 28 teams right now.
The registration for all 3rd teams open today to pay the fee and secure a spot at the WTC this year.
Please dont forget that every team has to pay the rest amount of the registration fee til April 15th. If we dont get the money til this date the registration will be canceled (that is because we do have to pay for the rooms at this point).

And another good thing happened in the meantime. I am happy to announce that will sponsor the WTC this year with price support and we will probably also have some spare tokens set at the event to buy it directly. If you want to be sure that you get your token set you can order it directly through the website and put in a special code to get it directly to the WTC without any shipping cost. The code will be announced as soon as we have it.

Hey teams! Just a little reminder that we will have an extra award this year for the designer of the best WTC teamshirt! So be creative and show us (and the world) that there can only be ONE best shirt!

And dont forget that your registration is only 100% final when the pre-payment was made! You could lose your spot if this is done til first payment deadline March 3rd.

We are happy to say that we already have 14 teams for the team event and 5 players for the Solo Masters.

The first deadline ends at March 3rd and with that date will also end the reserved registration spots for the first two teams of every country.

We will post soon the list in which you can find which country is on which spot for 3rd teams, but you can already register your 3rd teams through the website. After March 3rd all extra teams can pay the registration fee and book their spot at the WTC.

This also means that every country and team who really wants to have a reserved spot should register before March 3rd. 😉
