Markintime Ceremonies, Gail Nagel Civil Marriage Celebrant, J.P.
Wedding Ceremonies by Markintime. I have had the good fortune to be able to do so since 2004, and still love every minute. It is a wonderful journey.
Assisting couples design a wedding ceremony, that is uniquely them, and one that makes their ‘special’ day, precisely that, gives me great satisfaction. Living in foothills of the beautiful and world heritage listed Blue Mountains National Park, and close to the serene beauty of the Nepean River, I have conducted ceremonies in all the spectacular scenic outlooks, parks and venues. However, that do
es not mean I do not perform ceremonies beyond these boundaries – from Sydney in the east to Bathurst in the west and the Hunter Valley in the north, these are areas where I have, and do perform weddings. One thing that gives me great pleasure, is when I am asked to perform Naming Ceremonies for couples I have married, or the Reaffirmation of their Wedding Vows – this is a feeling of connection and continuance, that makes my role as a Civil Celebrant even more rewarding. As an Executive Member of the Australian Marriage Celebrants Inc., I have to be uptodate with all aspects of the Marriage Act of Australia, particularly in the areas of overseas applications, legal requirements, changes to legislation, government policy and contemporary social issues, such as civil unions. Understanding solemnity of the vows that couples make to each other in a civil wedding ceremony is paramount, however, that does not mean a wedding ceremony cannot be happy, joyous and humorous. Striking the right balance and having a ceremony you, your family and friends will always remember, is what we create together.
