A recent post by has given me a perspective shift that aligns more with my personal values. Participating in consumerism while separated families experience things I will never know, does not sit well within me. And, truthfully, felt a little off from the beginning. Because of this, I’ve decided not to participate in any online auctions. Know this...I am by no means minimizing or criticizing the efforts of those that do choose to contribute in this way. Rise up in any way you choose!! For me, continuing to donate directly to the sources that are on the front lines feels right. I believe THIS type of collective energy emits a special kind of vibrancy and feels like a power greater than myself. I encourage my community to reflect on this and do what feels right for YOU.
