Just got back from Valley of Fire State Park. This has been on my bucket list for awhile and it didn't disappoint .This park is a short drive from Las Vegas and shouldn't be missed. One of the most beautiful drives in the Southwest.
Highway 128 is a scenic byway from I-70 to Moab Utah. Besides some of the best scenery in the Southwest it gives you the chance to travel right next to the Colorado River. Most people view the river from thousands of feet high. Here you can pull off and stick your feet in.

Last year at this time we were heading to Monument Valley
to shoot the mitten shadow on March 31st.This happens only twice a year.
Not only did we get the centered shadow but woke up to
a beautiful sunrise the next morning.
