"I have been in a Halloween vibe lately and was able to pull this together this week. It's totally made up of about 7 pieces generated in Midjourney and then composited. I used brushes, lighting and color grading. I still feel I could work on it a bit more, but my brain was done for now."

"A movie poster I made for my 40th birthday.
I got the idea from the movies "This is 40" and "Afterlife of the Party"."

"This is from a video tutorial that I really liked. It's older. I have a daughter who I love to pieces and wanted to make this with her in it. It took me a long time to make and I really like how it turned out. I printed a couple of copies, one which I gave to my daughter and one that I have on my wall."

"Portrait of a Reader"
"I combined two photos. One photo is my daughter reading in a chair under a lamp. The other photo is the globe, the stacks of books and the reading lamp, a scene I set up on a table top at my house. I used a light ray overlay and a dust overlay (from Nucly)."

"I just finished this Halloween image. I took the image of the California condor many years ago. I looked out my upstairs window and saw him, and got the shot. I have always love this this image. I have always wanted to do something more with it. Since I have been taking Rikard's courses, I have Learned so much that I was able to do something with this image. With this image I used three of my own images and one background image from unsplash (tall trees). All other images in the foreground are mine. I used several fog and cloud brushes for the atmosphere. then an overall color grade.
When I see everybody else's work I'm always impressed at the imagination that people come up with. I'm kind of a different type of person. I don't have that kind of imagination like when they say close your eyes and picture lake, I close my eyes and I see blackness. I am creative, usually the image I choose will send me in a direction to create. Sometimes it works and other not so much…haha
Since joining Nucly I have learned so much and look forward to learning more. I kind of amaze myself, and what I have been able to do with editing. I have been working with Photoshop since the 80s and it's just amazing what I used to do then and what I do now.. Here is a funny one when I wanted to remove a background I would use the eraser and not use a mask. I spend countless hours using the eraser. Not realizing that I could do the same thing with a mask, and not lose any thing in the image.. 😂😂😂"

"I always give a title to my work, this one is titled "Intelligent Life". I was inspired by a fellow Nucly Academy member's work. I picked a horse for my subject because as a watercolor artist I create paintings of animals almost exclusively. Although many of my photoshop composites including wildlife, I venture past my comfort zone by doing some work including people."

My brand-new composite course—focused on the new AI tools in Photoshop—is now available! It's called The Human Tourist and features my daughter and her dog as she begrudgingly arrives at space camp on Mars. Or at least that's what I see as the backstory 😄 You can check it out here: https://www.nucly.com/human-tourist
In the course I cover the remove tool, generative fill, generative expand, smart selections and even Adobe Firefly. If you've been on the fence about using AI because it doesn't look great or doesn't fit in your existing Photoshop workflow, I understand. And this course is for you. Because in it, I show you how to incorporate these tools with the EXISTING workflows and layer-based approach to compositing that Photoshop is famous for.
So join me for this fun project where in less time than it takes to watch a Martin Scorsese movie, we'll create this cool movie-poster composite!
T-minus 20 hours until we release the new Photoshop composite course - The Human Tourist! A combination of the traditional compositing workflow and the new AI tools in Photoshop 👽
