Vernacular:Black is not only an ode to youthful discovery and imagination but it is also a statement of creativity and a deep love of everything that is 'blackness'. I simply love being black. IT IS Ev.er.ry.thing!
To paraphrase the coolest M.I.B. dad of them all... "WE make this sh*+ look good."
Vernacual:Black is cool nerdy sh*+, started by a cool nerd. It started out as a dictionary of words learned and/or heard throughout life. The collection of hilariously made up and discovered words quickly became our cool little inside joke that started becoming something of a hobby. Being a Navy kid provided an ever growing lexicon that has been curated, lost, recreated, and re-curated over the years. Words coined and popularized by many of the world's faves, words commonly mispronounced, or completely made up words that were added to make the dictionary of today.
The inspiration found from a childhood hobby birthed a luxury clothing line celebrating a profound love of everything that is black culture. Vernacular:Black is an expression of creativity and imagination. It is how I interpret the honor I feel for being black and the privilege to be graced with the creative 'swag'.
