A2B is an initiative to discover, mentor and incubate start-ups based on scientific research and its applications. As part of the so-called scientific community in Egypt, A2B (Academia to Business) was bound to notice a huge gap between academic research papers and their useful implementation. The reasons for such a gap are numerous, however we believe that the major hindrance is the lack of the m
entality that pursues that implementation or sees it as a possibility in the first place. We simply aim to build a bridge between the academic research in sciences, such as pharmaceutical, agriculture, engineering..etc, and useful entrepreneurial implementation. Our Vision is “Forming a link between the entrepreneurial community and a solution driven scientific research community.”
Our Mission is “Searching the academic community for viable ideas and promising research projects, increasing the entrepreneurial culture in that community and providing innovative thinkers, in the field of sciences, with all the support needed to realize their potential as entrepreneurs and convert their theories into practice.”
