I want to share my experience over the last few days and give some insight into what it's like having Covid as a medium and all around sensitive person at this point in time.
How's that post eclipse hangover treating you? I pulled a card from The Herbcrafter's Tarot to get a sense of the energy we're all feeling after Monday's eclipse. The card that came up was Seven of Water: Birch.
I think we're all feeling like we're at a bit of a crossroads right now, and where our path leads next is up to each of us. Typically the Seven of Cups card speaks to having many choices but being bogged down in illusions. In this case, this card feels like a reminder to let the illusions go and focus on what's necessary.
What calls to your heart? What feels right? Even if it's a vague direction to go in, where do you feel yourself being drawn? The answers aren't going to be immediate, but may require taking some time to reflect on how you really feel. When in doubt, start with what you know you don't want, then go from there and see where it takes you toward.
It's the anniversary of Agnes Baron's birthday today. She was an important mentor to my father and an incredible force of a woman. She passed away when I was 8 years old, but she still inspires me to this day.
Agnes worked as a war correspondent during WW2, helped refugees & immigrants in the US after the war, spent a brief period of time as a Vedanta nun at the suggestion of her friend Aldous Huxley (yes, the one who wrote Brave New World), and she lived on Sulphur Mountain in between Ojai & Santa Paula in southern California for the last 40ish years of her life.
She never married, had no kids, was blunt as f**k, but also loved people hard. She created a local drug rehabilitaion program, volunteered on su***de hotlines, and called individuals who'd gone through hardships to ask them what they needed. Once I said Agnes wouldn't be afraid to chew someone out if she thought they were wrong and my dad stated, "Yes, but she would also give someone the shirt off her back if they needed it."
I am grateful to have her as one of the female role models in my life. She was a straight shooter, followed the same Indian spiritual teacher I grew up following, and she inspired and influenced a lot of people throughout her lifetime. Happy Birthday Agnes ❤
This New Moon in Cancer is bringing major changes with it. Choose a set of cards to see what messages for the future are meant for you.
1. Eagle + Protection Guardian
Step Into the Unknown
There is a period with bold changes before you, & you have the internal strength to explore them. As you go forward, know that you are prepared & protected for what comes next in your life. Eagle brings passion, creativity, vibrancy, and the ability to see from greater heights & vantages than ever before. This means you'll get a better sense of where you're going, and feel more protected in the long run. You may see big changes coming ahead, & this is a time to not be timid, to explore your gifts or abilities and bring them into the light. This may be a time of light, which could show up in multiple ways. Things may be brought forward, or you may feel an illumination around you.
2. Snake + Druid
Shed Old Skin
You are meant to change and shift where you are. Snake symbolizes inner potential, renewal, & transformation. There is a theory that the "snakes" removed from Ireland closely resembled Druids - the pagans who practiced the spirituality of their forebears. This message can mean standing strong in what feels true to you, keeping the space that is yours and what is meant for you. Within this space you can experience profound changes, awakening something inside of you, & releasing what no longer works or is meant for you. Deep, meaningful transformation does not always mean a change of place - for now it means exploring uncharted parts of yourself just as you are.
3. Zebra + High Priest
Explore Your True Self
You are meant to take a grounded approach as you go forward. Remain true to who you are & your thoughts and beliefs at this time. It's alright if you want to start in a new direction from a safe space, this is about pointing yourself in a direction where you would like to go. Changes will follow in time. You have a curious mind, a heart that loves deeply, and while you want to explore and grow, you also will find comfort in being around those you love. Connect with who you are & explore your abilities & interests from there & watch how they unfold.
Six years ago, around this time of year, I started to read tarot cards. It was late June 2017, almost a year since I first began to learn Reiki and about energy healing.
I became friends with .healing after meeting at Salud Juice on 2nd St in Long Beach. One day when we met up one day, she handed me a tarot card deck and a book, saying that I had a very good memory and would likely not find it hard to remember the meaning behind each card.
Until that moment it had never even occurred to me that learning tarot was something I could do. I dove in and was enthralled by the layers of artwork, history, symbolism, color theory, and more. AP Art History was my favorite class in high school, and this felt like an upgrade from that.
Even though I'd offered free reiki healing to my friends & family to practice, none of them took me up on it. But everyone wanted a tarot card reading - from my coworkers to friend's parents. By mid July I was doing multiple readings a week. By October I started reading at .
Tarot is still one of my passions and obsessions. The first documented deck was created in Milan in the 1400s and I'm sure I've used various versions of these cards in multiple lifetimes.
Because of my experience, I always encourage people to study tarot if they have an innate desire. I taught myself through various books, websites, and a ton of practice. Over the last year I taught one-on-one tarot lessons and it made me appreciate these cards even more.
I'm so grateful for all of you who have been on this journey with me, and who are on this journey still. Getting to know all of you, to work with you, to share part of your life journeys and experiences, to offer help and guidance when I can, means so much to me. ❤
On Thursday June 15th I'll be giving tarot & mediumship readings at the Round Robin at . The Round Robin is a series of 10-minute readings from 6:30 to 9 pm. The readings are donation based and first come, first serve. If you'd like a quick reading with me, stop by! If you'd like to book a longer one-on-one reading, DM or email me at [email protected].
I’m going to resume giving readings again, but please be aware that the type of reading and their style will change. For some of you, this will not be a change at all, but for others, I may no longer be the reader for you. Please read the whole post before reaching out.
I will no longer be giving card readings.
Instead, I’m going to focus on my mediumship abilities. This means I will be channeling spirits and communicating with them. I will continue to do what I have always done to ensure that we are both protected during the reading, and that no spirit who is not there for our highest good or greatest benefit is present.
I will no longer be answering questions that require a short or yes/no answer.
As I will be channeling spirits, who typically have a lot to say, the types of questions should be more open and broad. This means that instead of asking when something specific will happen, the question could be reframed to ask what you should know about that specific thing.
If you’re unsure how to phrase your questions, I will help you. I know that it’s not always easy, especially if there are multiple concerns or issues around a specific topic. We can discuss this together during the reading.
All readings will be a minimum of 45 minutes, which includes a 15 minute conversation between us on the topics you would like to cover. It often takes some time for mediumship readings to gain momentum, but as we discuss the topics, it will help provide some background information that will come in handy when spirits begin addressing those topics.
As before, all readings will be done over Zoom or Skype, and I will record the reading and send it to you afterward. I will also be offering readings over the phone or they can be sent to you in a detailed email.
Readings will remain at the price of $2 a minute, now with the 45 minute minimum. Payments can still be made through Venmo or PayPal.
I will be focusing on open-ended topics, especially those relating to change, gaining clarity, transformation, or personal growth and development.
If you are interested in booking a reading, or have any questions, you can email me at [email protected]
Hello everyone!
I wanted to let you all know that I'm going to be taking some time off from doing readings. I'm not sure yet how long this hiatus will be, but if you'd like a reading in the meantime, please feel free to message me and I can refer you to a reader I trust who I think would be the best fit for you. If and when I decide to book readings again, I'll post here and let you know.
This won't be my last post, however. The process of reflection that led to this decision has also brought up a lot of thoughts and realizations, and I may share some of them in the future.
In the meantime, if you have any questions you'd like to ask, my email and DMs are still open. I love you all and care about you deeply, and ultimately want what's best for all of you.
Take care of yourselves.
With all my heart,
Kajora

My Story
Hi! I'm Kajora Lovely. I'm a tarot card reader and reiki healer.
Ever since I was a little kid, I could feel the presence of spirits and knew there was more to this world than what meets the eye. I grew up following a faith based out of India, and have traveled there several times, as well as to other parts of the world. Throughout my life I've met a wide variety of people from different backgrounds and faiths, and have studied a range of subjects.
As a tarot practitioner, I am self-taught in the ways and meanings of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot. I am also a certified second degree reiki healer in the Traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho lineage. In my practice I incorporate my intuitive, clairaudient, and mediumship abilities, as well as my life experience and knowledge.
As a healer and card reader, I believe in helping individuals on their own unique journey. We each have our own innate gifts and abilities, and I aim to help people on their path, whether it means providing insight, giving healing love, or helping find clarification. My goal is to help you step into your power.
