So lovely to be back in my sunny studio after a 6 week break from painting due to a horrible nerve pain in my shoulder which I just had to rest! Very frustrating, this is my 3rd abstract since my break and it’s so lovely to be painting again.

Day 1’s painting in a room 💛

My father has a free solo art show at Saltspace on Washington St in Glasgow until this Sunday, open 10am - 4pm every day, feel free to pop in if you like art! 🖼️

Hello! I’ve decided to do a painting a day (might be botanical or abstract) alongside a commission and working on my next release of originals out in September, maybe I’m mad, but I think it will be fun, most likely colourful and most importantly, freeing!

I’ll try to post these new ones every day, who’s with me!

Summers back this week, and with it loads more creative energy comes, I think artists can relate 🤩💛🏖️🖼️

Thanks for having me ! Was such a lovely time meeting all the artists and new friends, such a lovely community of people passionate about their practice and supporting other artists, felt so special to be involved, a huge thanks to Pauline who runs the Old Chapel Gallery in Nether Edge, who met me at last Septembers Art In The Gardens art show at the Botanical Gardens here in Sheffield.

I especially loved having really detailed nerdy conversations with the artists about their practice and inspiration and all sort of meandering thoughts 🌞🤩🥂

If I look a little tired and puffy eyed, it’s cause I woke up at 3am last nt (see pic 2) 😂 and decided it was a cracking idea to walk up to the top of my road in my pyjamas to see the northern lights as I had no idea about them on the night it happened, well I couldn’t get back to sleep after that could I 😅😴💤🫠🥂

wip, from this mornings session so far..(just thought you’d like to see my process!) After a lot of thinking, I added the purple palm on the left, once that’s dry will make some final touches of magic and can’t wait to see this framed along with the rest of my new body of originals!

Things coming together nicely in the studio, finishing touches and has to be ready to be photographed and framed this week, eek! It’s all happening!
