Grade Rep is an elected position with more responsibility than a general member that requires an application and a campaign that you will run until the speech date.

To all UPPER COUNCIL APPLICANTS!

An email will be sent out to you by the end of Thursday regarding your eligibility to continue on to Group Interviews. Group Interviews will be taking place Friday, September 28 from 3:00-5:00 in the Cafeteria, so make sure you will be able to attend!

When I joined SAC in grade 9, I had no idea what to expect. Seeing all the Grade 12’s, the only thing I was sure of was how nervous I was. I was scared to talk to anyone but my old friends and couldn’t even fathom the idea of talking to the older and more popular kids in the school. But that first year was so much more than I never could have expected, building new friendships every day in the hallways, and making memories that I’m sure will last a lifetime at retreat.

In all honesty, filling out that short application was the best decision of my high school career. I feel like I have not only met an amazing group of hard-working individuals, but I’ve also found a second family and I can’t imagine having to go through high school without them. I’ve looked up to Lisa, Connor, and Sophia for so long and I don’t know how I’m going to fill their shoes, but I’m certainly going to give it my best shot. I hope that, with my amazing team of execs, we will be able to make your high school experience as memorable as ours.

Whether it’s Janakitti banging his head on the ceiling at retreat, Ann making us watch movies in Persian at 6am, Sitting under Krishna’s legs when there were too many people in the car, baking gingerbread cookies with Jiya, or sharing life stories with Jasjeet, I could not have asked for a more amazing exec team. It’s been three short months and we’ve already had enough laughs and fun times to make an everlasting impact on my life.

All in all it’s been a dream come TRUE, and I’m super excited to share that orange dream with YOU!

As if being ridiculously smart wasn't good enough, he's a natural public speaker and leader, and is truly one of the most talented people I've ever met. Janakkiti also has the slickest jokes ever, sometimes it takes me 5 minutes to get his puns. He's actually too smart for me:( . This dude right here has the craziest PowerPoints ever...literally every slide and effect is planned, and timed to perfection. His brains, along with his ability to lead, and crazy, almost scary organization skills, makes him the perfect SAC VP, and I'm sure once you meet him you'll agree with me.

Jiya G, Jiya Gandhi!

I have had the privilege of knowing Jiya since we were nine years old and I can tell you besides her apparent wardrobe change, not much has changed about Jiya Gandhi. She continues to be one of the most fun-loving, positive, and caring people I have ever met. Whether its 4pm or 4am Jiya always manages to make you laugh. She’s hardworking, funny, and occasionally way too loud. But that’s why I love her ❤ Her commitment and love for SAC is extra ordinary and getting to know her has been a highlight of my high school experience. Lots of love!" - Ann Lei

Hello Woodlands! :)

The SAC Executive Council campaign season for the 2018-2019 school year has officially begun! Your SAC Executive candidates for the upcoming year will be sharing their campaigns, performing their speeches, and seeking your vote throughout the week.

Speeches will be taking place during periods 1 and 2 this Friday, June 1st (Grades 7-9 during period 1, Grades 10-11 during period 2). Voting will then take place on the same day, during period 3 classes.

Please take the time to consider each candidate's campaign, make an informed decision, and ensure that your voice is heard!

If you have any questions or concerns (e.g. you will be absent on Friday but would like a chance to vote beforehand), please message a current SAC executive.
