EHW Lions Christmas Cheer draw will go ahead this Saturday, December 23rd. Starting at 3:00pm. Come out and join us for some fun, entertainment, drinks and food. Cheer tickets will be drawn at the event. 19+ event.

EHW Lions Christmas Bingo will go ahead this Wednesday, December 20th. Grade 4 students and older are welcome. $1000 jackpot to go. Come out for a fun night.

Due to the ongoing sewer issue at the community center the cheer draw planned for this Saturday December 16th will be postponed to next Saturday December 23rd providing the issue is fixed at that time.

EHW Lions Christmas bingo that was scheduled for Wednesday December 13th will be postponed due to unforeseen circumstances and ongoing maintenance at the community center. We will update with a new date once we can go ahead.

Breakfast with Santa was a great success. Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us. Thank you to all the local businesses that donated to our breakfast, thank you to Santa himself for stopping by and of course our wonderful volunteers for the hard work.

For Remembrance Day, the EHW Lions Club sponsored a poster contest for the students of Conrad Fitzgerald Academy. We received a lot of wonderful posters. Here are the winners from each grade being presented with their prize from Lion Bruce Vallis. Thank you to all who participated!

Thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for our annual seniors supper. What a great turnout. We hope you all enjoyed it and we hope to see you all back again next year.

The Charter Night for the English Harbour West Lions Club that was scheduled for Saturday October 14th, 2023 will be postponed to a later date.

The weekly lions Club Bingo at the St Jacques Coombs Cove community Center is cancelled for tonight Oct 11,2023.

Both the Men’s and Women’s Dart Leagues started this week. Both leagues are are a fun filled night of darts. The two leagues are still accepting players! If you are interested in playing in the men’s league please contact Brad McCarthy, and in the women’s league Debbie Skinner Piercey!

The English Harbour West Men’s Dart League will be starting on Sunday September, 10th. If you are interested in playing please contact Brad McCarthy, or just show up at 7:30 pm to the English Harbour West Lions Club!

What a Great way to spend a Sunday Afternoon.

Today the English Harbour West Lions Club Made its annual donation to the Janeway Childrens Hospital Telethon of $1000.

We also Participated in a Walk for the Guide Dogs of Canada, we received and are still receiving many donations and will have a total a little later.

And to top it all off we did a clean up around the Community center. Sadly our beautiful area continues to find itself an ideal littering ground, we would ask anyone that frequents the area to please respect the building and surrounding area and please put all garbage in the bin directly in front of the building.

If you have any old eyeglasses you would like to get rid of, our lions club will gladly take them for recycling. You can drop them off at the club anytime we are open or give them to any of our members in the communities. We take the glasses to be recycled and donated
