Grumpy Bird Cookie Co.
Custom sugar cookies made fresh to order! Pick up only, in Cambridge and Oakville.
It’s today! Today’s the day!! Advent calendar orders go live at 6pm. Limited availability for all designs, so don’t wait. I will update quantities on the order form. Use this link: Linktr.ee/grumpybirdcookieco
Please read through carefully for all the advent calendar information. Please DM me if I’ve missed something.
1. Flavours - chocolate was such a hit, so I’m bringing it back! Calendars come in your choice of all vanilla or chocolate/vanilla mix. Except the gluten free - those are only available in vanilla.
2. Pricing
24 day Classic advent $90
12 day Classic advent $50
12 day Nativity advent $50
12 day Limited Edition Home Alone advent $55
Gluten free +$3/12 day or +$5/24 day
Cookies are handmade and detailed, individually bagged and heat sealed for freshness, then packaged into advent boxes. I don’t provide previews of the current year, but I have pictures of previous years’ advents in my photo gallery.
3. How to order - I’ll be using linktree as it has worked so well. The link will be posted in my bio and will go live Friday at 6pm. Please do not post a comment or DM to place an order. Orders must go through linktree. This streamlines the process and makes it easier for you and for me. Limited availability for each size/style, so linktree will notify me in the order received. I will send an invoice within 24 hours. Your order is not confirmed until your invoice has been paid.
4. Pickup - please message if these dates absolutely don’t work for you and I will do my best to accommodate.
24 day advents - pickup Nov 24/25 (Halton peeps, I’ll bring to 07 on Nov 21)
12 day advents - pick up Dec 11/12 (Halton peeps, I’ll bring to 07 on Dec 9)
5. Why are the 24-day calendars ready so early? I’m going out of town for a couple weeks. Will they still be fresh by day 24? Yes!! They are heat sealed as soon as they are dry to lock in their freshness. I can provide freezing and thawing instructions if you’d like, but it’s not necessary.
New this year - 12 DAY ADVENT CALENDARS AVAILABLE GLUTEN FREE!!! Baked and decorated in a gluten free facility, so it’s safe for celiacs (note: I have baked for several celiac friends who can confirm they are safe). I use a fabulous flour blend from a local shop and have been told mine are “the best gluten free sugar cookies I’ve ever had!” Are you, a friend or family member gluten free and feeling left out? Not this year! I’ve got you covered ❤️
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! Okay, it isn’t at all, but it’s Christmas in my mind and all I’m thinking about is advent calendars!! I’ll be posting about them all week with orders going live on Friday. More details, including flavours and pricing, to come, so check back each day!
4 options this year:
1. Classic 24-day Christmas themed advent - these will be available for pickup on Nov 24/25. I’m going on vacation, so they will need to be picked up early. I can provide freezing instructions if you’d like, but freezing is not necessary. ONLY 20 AVAILABLE!
2. 12-day Christmas themed advent - same cookie style as the 24-day version, pick up Dec 11/12
3. 12-day Home Alone themed advent - same packaging as the classic advent, but with a Home Alone twist inside. Pick up Dec 11/12
4. 12-day Nativity themed advent - hoping to offer a 24-day version of this next year, but it wasn’t an option this year (no packaging available). Pick up Dec 11/12
BaByQ!!! Perfect theme for a summer baby shower featuring a bun in the oven and burgers on the grill. Congratulations Mike & Rachel (and baby Avery).
Several months ago, I was hurt at work and treated at Milton District Hospital. I had the best care and felt so grateful that my nurse, Saraa, was one I had gotten to know while working in Milton for the last 6 months (I’m a paramedic and my current station is in Milton). It’s very different being on the patient end of things and she was lovely. I know she was doing her job, but I still wanted to thank her and there is no better way to say anything than with cookies haha Plus, as we all know, I LOVE puns and had been waiting for a chance to use my urine-credible cutter set. Shockingly, there’s not much demand for it 🤣🤣. Zoom in for all the fun details on the urine sample cup 😁
I didn’t bake this year, so here’s a throw back to minis I made a few years ago. Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian family, friends and clients!!
It was so fun to surprise my nephew and his teammates with personalized jersey cookies on their last day of baseball. For privacy, I didn’t photograph all the jerseys because I didn’t want to post their names. Of course, I made some extras for my nephew to take home 😉. Congratulations Cubs on another awesome season! He moved on to a new sport this year. I’m seeing some jujitsu cookies in my future haha
Life is all about moments like this - trips with loved ones, snuggles with your pets, silly traditions and insisting there’s only one good way to make shepherd’s pie! Happy Birthday Maria.
If you’re in Cambridge and you have pets, I highly recommend .veterinary.hospital. Hands down the best around. From the doctors to the vet techs to the admin staff, I just couldn’t ask for better.
Realized I forgot to post in June with the other grad sets, so I’m posting it now. My sweet nephew, Carter, started high school this year. How many of you mamas look at your high school kiddos and wonder where the time went??
I love including portrait photos in my sets. Even without facial features, anyone who knows Carter can tell that it’s him. Makes the set personalized and extra special.
The full set. ❤️ I love these. Love that a part of my childhood is special to kids today. Such a fun theme.
Yabba Dabba Doo? Nope. Yabba Dabba Two!

Cookies are my love language, so when my dear friend’s mom passed away, I had to make cookies for her and her family. Cookies can say what I can’t put into words. It’s amazing how we can feel relief that our loved ones are no longer suffering and immense pain from their loss at the time. As Christians, we have peace knowing we will see them again and find comfort in God’s word.
We grew up roasting marshmallows. I love that my parents have a bonfire pit so we can keep the tradition alive with the next generation. Yup, those are real marshmallows on that cookie! Haha Wasn’t sure how it would taste, so I tried it out on family and my nephew said those were his favourite cookies!
