The IWT is funding the world’s first global windsurfers survey has been created and we’d like every windsurfer in Australia (and the world) to participate.
The more windsurfers that participate, the more this helps our local clubs and associations get usable, research data on windsurfers that will help them grow their base, attract more sponsors and potentially run bigger/better events.
Information gathered can help us grow, better understand our sport better support our local clubs, associations and events.
A summary of global results will be shared via IWT and Australian specific results will be shared with State windsurfing associations.
Completely voluntary and anonymous, it takes just a few minutes of your time to contribute and help.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/windsurf
Feel free to share the link with any windsurf friends, groups or associations. We want all types of windsurfers to do it.
Thanks for your support and involvement !
Warm regards
Simeon / Russ, IWT Directors.
The International Windsurfing Tour (IWT) is a prestigious windsurfing wave event that was founded in 2009 at Pistol River on the southern Oregon coast. Year on year, the IWT Tour continues to expand in both geographical coverage and event status. In 2023, the IWT and the Professional Windsurfing Association (PWA) united to create the Unified PWA IWT Wave Tour, which will be the largest single coordinated tour of windsurfing wave events, with over 40 events across 30 countries. The tour will unite thousands of athletes into a single global Rider Ranking to decide the Wave World Titles. The Grand Final of the IWT is the Aloha Classic, which is considered the pinnacle event of the wavesailing side of our sport and is held at Ho’okipa Beach Park on Maui’s legendary North Shore. This event decides the overall World Wave Champions for both Pro Men and Pro Women riders. The tour also includes wave events for Youth, Masters, and Open Am divisions.
