" Horn systems usually have a fairly restrictive sweet spot, and i did spend some time in an optimal place in the room, but as I wandered through this city of gear I noticed there were pockets of great sound here and there, small oases of big, coherent sound. I wound up listening in this room more than once, and its strengths became more potent with each visit–stunning low frequency performance, the sense of unlimited dynamics, and a surprisingly coherent soundstage. While systems like these often attract the ire of the audio skeptics, I can’t imagine caring about any of that. This is about chasing a vision of ultimate performance, and there’s nothing wrong with that."

"We walked into a packed room and had one of those what the actual feck moments. The new speakers from this brand are absolutely nuts and the new turntable is similarly nuts. LOOK AT THOSE SPEAKERS. Bass scoops and “satellite” front left and right speakers. WOW!!!

I sat down and spoke with Stavros of Aries Cerat to discuss the system and you can watch that below, but what I got from our brief chat was that there is so much engineering thought that has gone into this system. He mentions in the interview (which I urge you to watch) about the system just playing music and that is what I got from the system. Look, it’s absolutely NUTS but nuts is very often good and I really do applaud Stavros and the Aries Cerat team for going beyond the norm and pushing the boundaries of what high-end audio can be!

We are back for a quick visit to Taiko Audio.
The visit revolved around two themes.
As a company we do not see many actual innovations on music server technologiesHowever Taiko Audio is a very different type of company,the type we really enjoy working with.They are working on something really special and we decided to be early adopters of their trully new innovative transport technology protocol.Stay tuned for more announcements on this front.

Second theme of the visit ,was the set up a full system of ours ,in one of their fantastic rooms.The Aurora speakers now sings in a nicely sized room,paired with Essentia monos and Incito S preamp.
