Rachel French McTimoney Animal Practitioner
Most vets are aware of the benefits of complementary treatments for animals and will readily give their permission for the animal to be adjusted.
McTimoney is a non-invasive holistic treatment which works to realign and balance the animal's musculoskeletal system, restoring health and movement, soundness and performance. Is your Horse showing any signs of:
Unlevelness especially behind
Uneven wear of shoes
Sore or cold back, uneven pressure from saddles or the saddle slipping to one side
Unexplained deterioration in usual performanc
Asymme
One I often recommend. π Nice and cheap.π°Itβs 2 hot water bottles in an oven glove! Works a treat to warm up the lumbar area behind the saddle while you are grooming and getting tacked up. Just remember to take it off before you ride!!! If you have any other genius (inexpensive!) ideas to warm up those tight muscles feel free to comment. π‘
I am looking forward to sponsoring this show again. There are lots of different classes and disciplines to choose from. Look forward to seeing you there π
Congratulations to two of my clients this weekend. π Jenny Daniels and her lovely big horse Orbit for Qualifying and completing the BE 100 grass roots championships at Badminton. π Orbit is one of my regular McTimoney clients. It is always a pleasure to treat Orbit, he is a lovely horse. Also a massive congratulations to Amy Stephens for passing her PC B test today In horrible weather conditions. πI have recently been coaching Amy. She is already a talented show jumper and just needed a little bit of help with the dressage and xc. Well done for getting your stirrups down 2 holes in the dressage and jumping the scary solid fence with the ditch in front! π€© I also lent her my pony Jazz for the day.
πRehabilitation Liveryπ
I have 1 stable coming available from the 15th October.
Are you busy at work? Donβt have facilities at your yard. Not enough daylight. Does your horse need to loose weight, build top line. Have regular medication. Box rest.
Our experienced team are here to help.
Excellent facilities including treadmill.

With this rain the grass has been growing with a vengeance. Here at West Stoke Farm we have been making sure everyone gets regular exercise daily or on alternative days. This helps to combat the risks of laminitis. Even the smallest ponies enjoy coming out for a hack with their best buddies ππ¦
People sometimes ask me if horses readily accept treatment. On the whole they do and most really enjoy it! π sometimes they can be nervous and worry about me touching areas that hurt. Albert had attitude towards me when I first came to treat him but now as he has realised I am his friend and going to make him feel better he looks forward to seeing me and having his treatment. This lovely picture is of Albert at Devon Country Show π
Well done to Martha and her lovely Dartmoor Sky. Super result at the SDM PC triathlon. Very proud to call you one of my clients πππ
When I designed my stables so that the horses here for box rest on rehabilitation livery could get contact and interaction with other horses this wasnβt quite what I was thinking π€π So long as they are happy ππ¦
After a workout who doesnβt enjoy a massage. π€© I like to use the Equissage after the treadmill. This helps increase circulation which will take lactic acid away from the muscles reducing soreness from the workout.
McTimoney has a holistic approach. Treating the whole of the horse. I also work with your vets, farriers, saddlers and nutritionists to help get the best results. This cheeky hunter was feeling very well when he started work todayπ₯³ ππ
As well as treating him I have been working with all of the above. He has also had the benefit of some time under my heat lamp with the Equissage on. He is coming on well in the round pen, learning to stretch down without gadgets to develop his top line (once he has had a bit of fun first! ππ¦)
