At the start of 2020 we posted about starting a project with Creative Scotland. Needless to say, 2020 went as it did and the project took a lot longer than expected.

We are now delighted to say that the project is now complete, having created 5 new short videos showcasing Creative Scotland’s quality toolkit, ‘Is This The Best It Can Be?’.

Here is an excerpt from 1 of the 5. All 5 can be viewed as part of a playlist on Creative Scotland's website.

URGENT APPEAL!! One of the few artist-run spaces in Leith and Edinburgh, Rhubaba on Arthur Street, is under threat of demolition from property developers. Rhubaba is over 10 years old, houses multiple artist studios and a public exhibition space, and has participated in the LeithLate festival since our inception. You have until 7TH APRIL to object on the council portal, and Rhubaba have put together the following objection template: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1FEfewicqHeH1HP5_EGghOL5FIvproQ8mErfSU9zacO4/edit

Morvern continues the conversation about the post-pandemic future of arts & culture in Edinburgh and beyond.

Edinburgh reimagined: the future will be localised - Sceptical Scot Arts and culture are at a turning point, says Morvern Cunningham, facing the risk of returning to a kind of normal that we saw pre-pandemic. Only this time, the normal we are heading back to is likely to be worse than before.
