Even though there is still snow on the ground and temps are cold. Grizzly’s are typically out by late March & April. This big boy was forging along a popular trail in this week. Always be Bear Aware in Bear Country and keep ALL food away in a Bear Canister if Camping. Even while Day Hiking, make sure you hike with a Partner and be very aware of your surroundings. Keep your distance! Let others know where you are going and what time you will be back. Have a plan if a Bear comes your way. Make noise and do NOT run.
