Being a full time fit active mom and trying to teach my kids and family to live an active life style can be very challenging. Fitting the time in, being exhausted, sick kids, school functions the excuse list is a mile long. Getting up at the break of dawn or tucking everyone in bed and THEN getting the workout in. Through the headaches, heartaches, tears, happiness, joy and the memories we make it's all worth it.
Seriously with all this snow!! But I've been short on time in the gym the last few days so I've been doing 2 circuits 3 times each. Trying to hit each body part. Never really been a fan of this type of workout but holy s**t! Sweating, out of breath, dying as I'm walking out ๐ But I think the point of this was try any workout more than once you might like it!

Here I am at the gym but not because I'm worried that I'm going to be stuffing my face later but because routine.
I'm not cooking this year so I had time.
There are only a few holidays in the year so don't worry about calories! Eat your heart out and get back to routine tomorrow โค
I've been MIA for quite a few months now. Life stressors really got to me. I wasn't acting like me. I wasn't eating or eating to much, my gym schedule was not consistent, I wasn't being g mindful, present or even really a nice person.
The last few weeks I've been really putting in the effort to try to be me again. I started taking my certification and hopefully will be a certified nutritionist by the new year ๐
Next step is food! Goals to eat more veggies and be more mindful to get good nutrition in. Guilty ๐ I haven't meal prepped in months!
I'm so ready to get back on track! Anyone want to join me??

So many personal feels lately that have effected my mind, body and spirit. I dont share a lot of my personal feelings because I usually have so many walls up.
But after talking to my bff I don't think I'm alone in feeling this way. The struggle of trying to be the perfect mom, wife, employee & coworker. Well news flash nobody is perfect!
Feeling sadness or defeat doesnโt make you weak or less desirable. Donโt try to avoid those feelings because you think that people wonโt like you because of them. Your mental health is WAY more important than those people anyways. You are not broken or weak. Everyone deals with bumpy patches on the road. You are not alone. We live in a society where everyoneโs automatic response to โHow are you?โ is always โGood, how are you?โ We need to be the people to stop this. Talk about what youโre feeling to the people who care about you. Iโm not saying to tell the cashier at your local grocery store everything about your life, but tell your close friends and your family. Talk your problems out.
Itโs okay to not be okay.
Look at inspirational quotes, spend time relaxing or journal. Or like me a rendezvous picnic at a park. Do things that you know will make you feel better. Say โI feel _____ and itโs okay.โ Say this often. Normalize how you feel to yourself and accept that not every day is going to be the best day ever and thatโs okay. Life will throw curve balls at you and admitting that youโre struggling is the hardest part. Whether youโre admitting it to yourself, or to your best friend. Knowing that it is okay to tell someone that youโre not okay is the most important part. If you donโt think that you have someone to tell that to, know that you can tell me. Tell me everything thatโs going on in your life and I will listen. I really, really want you to believe me when I say these next words. Iโm here for you.

It's not helping that Rylie has been making chocolate chip cookies every day!
So we decided tonight to make these again and woohee they are so dang tasty!!!
I made them in a 9x9 pan this time because it was less time consuming and I was getting hangry ๐คญ๐

This popped up in my feed today and it meant a lot to me so I has to share.
No one is perfect. I've had a rough couple of weeks (since my show) with food. Being so busy and eating out, not eating, eating crappy, eating to much I mean the list goes on and on ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I can really feel it with my body and mind.
But each day is a new day and each day is another day to get back on track!

The summer schedule officially started today and the twins classes are only 15 minutes apart now ๐ (they were 45 minutes).
They had last week off from classes and they said it felt like a month lol!
Question! Do you pick your kids sports or let them pick?

Haven't posted a meal prep in a while because they have been pretty lazy and boring. But lazy and boring works for me ๐คทโโ๏ธ
I've meal prepped for many many years and I've tried bulk, individual, ordering and you just have to find what works for you.
At the moment bulk easy meals work the best. On Monday I bring a big ol' bag of food to work and it lasts all week.
The meals are
1. Egg white omelet with green beans
2. English muffin and oatmeal (preworkout)
3. Chicken, rice and veggies in aminos
4. Green smoothie with blueberries flax and maca powder.
5. Greek yogurt, granola and strawberry
6. Veggies, hummus and crackers.
Dinner is usually on the fly but always consist of a protein, carb and veggie.
The best thing to do about meal prep is not over complicate it.

I always have a crazy schedule but I never let that be my excuse to not fit in a workout.
The girls had horse lessons this morning at 9 and I woke up late to go to the gym ๐คฆโโ๏ธ Got there at 730 and did what I could until I had to leave.
Did all my errands and had a little free time so here I am again getting in my cardio (only 3 a week but I like to get 2 done on the weekend).
Fit it in where it can be fit in. Yea I'd rather be sitting in the A/C watching tv but GOALS!!
Find a routine that works for you and stick with it! Whether it's a gym, classes or at home make it routine and don't skip it ๐ช
Who over indulged this holiday week ๐โโ๏ธ
And that is completely okay ๐
BUT do not let that be the downfall of all the hard work put in so far this year.
Overthinking it will only make it worse, just get back on track and do what you have been doing on your fat loss adventure ๐

First day I haven't gone to the gym in a LONG time! Took a much needed rest day and let these 2 pick our festivities for the day. Strawberry picking, Target and the beach ๐ I am now a lobster ๐ฆ but it was a great day!

This mindset shift has been a game-changer for me when it comes to my own goals because when I operate from a belief that my success is inevitable it takes the pressure off the timing of the success. It's going to happen - no need to stress about it.
I just focus on taking the next step, and then the next step, and then the next step after that. The results will come, so I don't stress about it.
Are you working towards your goal from a place of fear? Fear that you might fail? Fear that you might never make it?
Or are you working towards your goal from a place of certainty that you WILL figure it out and you WILL be successful?

Its routine now. Any day I'm not working the kids know we leave the house by 830, stop and get coffee and donuts, drive almost 40 minutes to this gym. The kids absolutely love it and I love how they get so excited to go!
It is hard to find a gym with great daycare but when you do ๐
The hardest part is getting in a routine but once you do everything just flows!
Summer vacation is here and the weather is finally nice! What are you favorite things to keep kids active and not bored?

Why does tracking matter...even for a brief period of time?
You can exercise until your blue in the face and not get the results you desire.
It could be as simple as overeating but what I see more and more in women is they are under eating!
See the my fitness pal screen shots below. See the imbalance of what the goal is vs what was eaten. Imagine eating this way for weeks or months? You would more than likely see negative results.
Of course each person's macros are different but over eating is still over eating or under eating is still under eating.

I think a lot of people struggle to hit their daily protein everyday. You dont realize how much your NOT eating until you start to track for a few days.
When I first started my fitness journey I struggled really bad. Chugging multiple protein shakes each day and just not making really good choices. Over the years I've learned how to eat, what makes me feel good and how to easily hit my protein goal each day.
Here is a typical day for me and how I easily hit my protein goal (between 160 - 180 grams).
Meal 1 - Egg white omelet with ham and low fat cheese
Meal 2 - Rice cakes and chocolate pb2
Meal 3 - Vanilla Greek yogurt with berries and granola
Meal 4 - Tuna pita with low fat mayo
Meal 5 - Crackers, hummus and veggies
Meal 6 - Chicken nachos
Meal 7 - Strawberry shortcake
