Ever wonder what is Jagua and henna?

JAGUA
Jagua is a fascinating natural dye derived from the Genipa Americana fruit (Jagua fruit), native to the rainforests of South and Central America. Unlike traditional henna, which produces an orange-brown stain, Jagua offers a stunning bluish-black color that closely resembles the look of a real tattoo.

HENNA
Derived from the mignonette tree or shrub, henna is a totally natural, vegan dye that can be used on our hair, bodies and clothes. Henna as we know it, is extracted from the plant’s leaves and ground into a fine powder and added with water, lemon, and essential oils, all organic. Crushing sun-dried henna leaves releases a substance called Lawsone, named after the Latin name for the henna plant, lawsonia inermis. This substance gives henna its dying properties, achieving red-brown stains in its rawest form.

🚫🛑BLACK HENNA🛑🚫
Please never ever get black henna. Black henna tattoos will induce contact allergy to its ingredient PPD at an estimated frequency of 2.5%. Once sensitized, the patients may experience allergic contact dermatitis from the use of hair dyes containing PPD. It can cause skin burns, blistering, and even scarring. Make sure you know that the henna being used is organic and sourced correctly.
