Mother’s Day Menu for the
It is going to be a beautiful day on the coast! Come and enjoy it with us ✨
Simple garlic scape pesto
~10 (154g) Garlic Scapes
~1/3 C (30g) Walnuts
~1/3 C (38g) Parmesan
~1/2 Lemon juiced
~1/8 tsp Fine Sea Salt
~A few grinds of Pepper(to taste)
~1/3 C (70g) Olive Oil
Steps
1) Rough chop nuts and roast in a 350* oven until lightly browned, about 10 min
2) Place garlic scapes into a blender or food processor and pulse a few times.
3) Add in walnuts, parmesan, lemon juice, salt, pepper and blend
4) Slowly mix in olive oil until desired consistency
Give it a taste!
You can always add more salt, pepper and lemon juice, but you can’t take out once it’s in.
Just add a little at a time until it taste how you like it! 🍋🧄
It is not recommended to can pesto but you can freeze it. Just fill up your jars, silicone mats a ice cube trays and freeze. Once frozen remember to put them into an air tight freezer bag!
