A Prayer for World Marriage Day:
O God, who in creating the human race
willed that man and wife should become one
keep, we pray, in a bond of inseparable love
those who are united in the covenant of Marriage,
so that, as you make their love fruitful,
they may become, by your grace, witnesses to charity itself.
Through Christ our Lord,
Amen.
We are sad to announce that Dorothy “Dot” LeBlanc, age 84 passed away just before midnight on Saturday, December 31st, 2022, at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus.
She slipped away, in the loving presence of her daughters, just in time to celebrate the New Year and her wedding anniversary (January 3rd) with her adoring husband, Edgar, who passed in 2014.
Dot and Edgar were leaders in the Worldwide Marriage Encounter movement for over 40 years, presenting enrichment weekends to married couples (more recently, Dot was involved in a sharing group for surviving spouses).
Donations in Dot’s memory may be made to the Kemptville District Hospital Foundation, the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or the Worldwide Marriage Encounter Fr. Chuck Gallagher Legacy Fund - https://give.vancouverfoundation.ca/s/wwme
