LET'S TALK FILTERS! When it comes to filters it is easy to say “Oh it’s fine! I’ll replace it next month!” A dirty filter doesn’t always strike us as must do, or extremely important, but it actually is crucial to the well- being of your system! When your filter is clogged, it doesn’t just affect the quality of air you intake, but it also forces your AC to work harder to keep your house cool/warm. The harder your AC works, the more repairs it is going to need and the shorter amount of time it is going to last!
So here is your reminder to go check your current filter! If you’re out of filters, give us a call! We have many sizes in stock! We also keep those pesky, hard to find Trane filters in stock at our office! We would be happy to let you know what we have now, or order you a box if we are out! Don’t forget, if you want your AC to last longer and stay in tip top shape, don’t put off changing those filters!

Well Everyone! School may be back in session, but that summer heat is holding on strong! Everyone's air conditioners are working overtime to give you a cool and comfortable escape from that Texas Sun! Here are some tips to give your air conditioner a helping hand:

Keep those Blinds Closed!
I know it can be tempting to light your home with big open windows, but open blinds can create more heat within your home creating more work for your air conditioner!

Use those Ceiling fans!
Just like the fans in your air conditioner, ceiling fans can help push that cool air around and keep things cycling a little more efficiently!

Upgrade those lightbulbs!
Incandescent lightbulbs can produce a surprising amount of heat in your home! Try switching to energy saving LED light bulbs! Not only do they help take some work off your Air Conditioners, but they also use 90% less energy and last up to 25 times longer as the traditional light bulb! (that smells like extra money in my pocket to me!)

Lastly IF YOUR AIR CONDITIONER IS STRUGGLING A LITTLE MORE THAN NORMAL, DON'T PUT OFF REPAIRS! It's important to keep our air conditioners running in tip top shape! If it seems like your air conditioner is struggling to keep up, there could be issues you can't see. Just like with our own bodies, small problems can turn into big ones fast if left untreated!
