In July we will be taking part in the Mongol Rally and raising money for four charities, Cool Earth, Change of Scene, Breast Cancer Haven and Canine partners. They are all relatively small charities but we feel that they cover a good range and they all do great work. The rally, run by TheAdventurists.com, involves taking a £500 second-hand car, the crappier the better, and driving it 10,000 miles from London to Ulan Ude in Russia. Our route will take us through, prepare yourself... France, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan, the Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan , Russia and finally... Mongolia. The rally is completely unaided. We really appreciate any donations, small or large, so that we can make as much money for charity as possible and make the trip along Turkey's 'death road' worth it!
