UCF Lego Robotics is a group to share information about Lego Robotics programs and teams in the Unio
If you missed our information session about FIRST LEGO League or want to review anything in more detail, the presentation we shared is available at:
FLL Info Session 2024 LEGO ROBOTICS INFORMATION SESSION April 2024 Sophie Hello and welcome to our lego robotics information session we are so excited to have you here today.
Come learn about the Lego Robotics program in UCFSD! FIRST LEGO League (FLL) robotics is a unique program for students currently in grades 1-7 that combines the timeless fun of LEGO building with the future-forward skills of robotics and coding. It’s an engaging way to help children develop critical thinking, creativity, and collaborative skills.
We are having an information session on Monday, April 29th at 6:30PM at the Patton Middle School auditorium - come to learn more! You can learn about FIRST LEGO League, see displays of robots in action, and learn how to express interest in joining a team. All of our teams are coached by parent volunteers.
So come out on Monday night and learn how to join our successful and growing robotics programs! This past season we had fifteen robotics teams competing in various levels of programs within UCFSD, including five teams in FLL Explore (grades 2-4), four teams in FLL Challenge (grades 4-8), and another six teams in FIRST Tech Challenge (a non-Lego based program for middle and high schoolers).
If you have a child who is currently in 6th-11th grade in UCFSD and might be interested in joining an FTC Robotics team, come to the UCFSD FTC Robotics orientation this Thursday, May 25 at 6:30 PM at the Patton cafeteria to learn more!
Thank you to everyone who came out tonight to learn more about Lego Robotics!

FLL is a team robotics competition where students learn teamwork and STEM skills while having tons of fun. FIRST Lego League Explore is for students in grades 2-4, and FIRST Lego League Challenge is for students in grades 4-8.
At the information session, we’ll present more information about FLL, and there will be a form to express interest in having your child join a team.
Thank you to everyone who came out to the Lego Robotics information session tonight! It was great to see such a big crowd - we had about 140 people come out to learn more about Lego Robotics.
