POTATO LEEK CELERY GLOW SOUP 🌿🍲🥔
If you are dealing with bloating, constipation, or poor digestion, this soup will change your life! You will wake up to an amazing 💩 in the morning and your skin will be glowing!
INGREDIENTS:
* sizzle extra virgin olive oil
* 3 cups vegetable broth
* 2 leeks
* 4 celery stalks
* 6 small potatoes
* 2 bay leaves
* 1/2 tsp italian seasoning
* 1/2 tsp oregano
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* 1 tsp onion powder
* salt & pepper to taste
RECIPE:
1. Chop leeks, celery stalks and potatoes and set aside
2. To a deep pan or pot, pour in 1 tbsp of olive oil and let that heat up for 1 minute on medium heat.
3. Then add in the leeks and sauté until slightly softened and browned.
4. Then add in the chopped celery and seasonings and sauté for a couple minutes to combine.
5. Lastly, add in the chopped potatoes and mix everything together.
6. Then add in 3 cups of broth and 2 bay leaves.
7. Simmer on medium-low for 30 minutes.
8. Blend half of the soup in a power blender. I used my vitamix. And combine the chunky soup with the blended soup in a pot.
9. Add salt and pepper to taste and it’s ready to serve!
10. Feel free to add any croutons, herbs, extra olive oil, as a topping! I used the leek leaves and roasted them as a topping for my soup to not waste them.

What does your tongue coating mean?

This year, I have traveled to Denver, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Mazatlan, Toronto, Las Vegas, Detroit, Kentucky, Cincinnati….
While also eating out, going to concerts, having picnics, ordering in, getting snacks, eating snacks at home, eating heavy Indian wedding food, eating fast food, etc…
There were times I traveled when I gained 5-10 lbs and times were I lost or stayed the same weight!

🌿 I choose to eat whatever I want using the one plate rule, enjoy myself, and eat only when I’m hungry

🚩An all or nothing mentality
🌿 I chose to follow the 80/20 rule aka 4 meals (this includes snacks, drinks, pastries, desserts, etc) out of the week can be off the normal routine

🚩Taking a break from my supplements, sleep routine, workouts, and de-stress routine
🌿 I chose to find a hotel with a gym or go to a workout class or do a home workout, prioritize sleep by ending the nights early or starting the day late, do breathwork before sleeping or during a break in the day, and bring my supplements with me
This is the magic routine that works like a charm anytime I’m outside of the house or traveling! No bloat, no weight gain, no exhaustion.
And more importantly, I don’t need a vacation after my vacation. I can bounce into to my routine right away 😍

1️⃣ Did you know most of the refined sugar you eat comes from a plant?? It’s called sugar cane!
The problem with refined sugar is that it is processed so heavily that all the nutritional value is lost.
2️⃣ Does that mean all sugar is bad for you?!
No! When you eat sugar in its natural form, you get vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and it can actually be a gut-healing food.
3️⃣ Let’s talk about how refined sugar is made…
Sugar Cane Harvested ➝ Cold-Pressed Sugar Cane Juice ➝ Boiled ➝ Sugar Cane Syrup ➝ Dried ➝ Jaggery ➝ Boiled ➝ Centrifuge to Separate Raw Sugar Crystals & Molasses ➝ Boil Raw Sugar Crystals ➝ Crystallize Sugar ➝ Bleach Sugar if not white enough
Brown Sugar is made by combining molasses and refined white sugar.
If you want natural & healing brown sugar, get jaggery. This is the first sugar byproduct produced without any centrifuge.
As you can see, when the sugar is boiled and heated so many times, it starts killing all of the nutrients of the plant to the point that you may forget it’s even a plant byproduct.

THE ACNE FACE MAP: WHAT ARE YOUR BREAKOUTS TELLING YOU?! 😳😳😳
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acne can be related to imbalances or blockages in the body's internal organs and energy systems. Here are some examples of how acne location is believed to be linked to organ imbalance in TCM:
1. Forehead acne: TCM associates acne on the forehead with imbalances in the liver and gallbladder meridians. This may be due to factors such as stress, hormonal imbalances, or an unhealthy diet that places a burden on the liver and gallbladder.

Plants high in water content, specifically gel water, help keep you hydrated longer and faster. Tons of vegetables and fruits contain gel water but my favorites are…
Watermelon, berries, tomatoes, cauliflower, and iceberg lettuce, and citrus fruits
🥥 HEALTHY FATS
This one might seem strange, but gel water is even found in some of our healthy fats like clarified butter (ghee) and coconut oil. I also highly recommend using ghee and coconut oil when cooking as they’re not inflammatory like other oils such as canola and vegetable oil.
🌱 SOAKED NUTS AND SEEDS
You probably weren’t expecting this one, but soaked nuts and seeds can also help boost your gel water content. It also will increase nutrient availability. I recommend soaking your nuts and seeds for 7-24 hours for the best results.
