Looking forward to the spring 2024 edition of this class!

From the last round: "The class felt like a warm bath. It felt like new opportunities to slow down; new ways of connecting. I loved the way you actually made space for difference and honest ways of relating to mindfulness. I've never encountered it quite in that way before, where I truly could come as I was."

Join us! Details in the comments 🌿

Space for grief. Space for practice. Space to be held.

We do this together because we need each other.
To remember how to human while witnessing horror. To link arms with as we dream bigger dreams.
To weave with, as we find our roles.

To keep going.

I went to a primary school where we went to church and sang hymns. Until I was 16, I lived with Adhan shaping my days. Sometimes I would go with an aunt to a temple, and repeat the movements I saw the people around me make. Later, eventually,I learned puja in a meaningful way through the rituals of Agni Hotra.

But, my body remembering itself in the salt of water, my heart unfolding to horizon, the conversations with moss? I didn’t know. I didn’t know that I have been in wordless prayer my whole life.

The horror and heartbreak of this moment is an invitation to shift out of shapes of wounding and conflict. Knowing our tender places is essential; leading from these places is limiting at best and, as we are witnessing, can risk reproducing dynamics of harm.

What would it look like to embody your purpose
in alignment with your values?

We have all been shaped by life. And, we can choose to re-pattern our fascia and re-map our brains. We can grow capacity to be able to live in alignment with our values. We can put our purpose into practice for greater impact.

Together, we can shapeshift.

SHAPE:SHIFT is 6-month somatic group container for leaders and change-makers to move from wounds to wisdom, so that you can embody your purpose with greater capacity and impact.

The polarization of this moment looks like there are two sides but this is untrue because there are many. And somehow we live - no, we co-create - a world where hospitals with babies are a target. What else can we make?

Life is short, though I keep this from my children.
Life is short, and I’ve shortened mine
in a thousand delicious, ill-advised ways,
a thousand deliciously ill-advised ways
I’ll keep from my children. The world is at least
fifty percent terrible, and that’s a conservative
estimate, though I keep this from my children.
For every bird there is a stone thrown at a bird.
For every loved child, a child broken, bagged,
sunk in a lake. Life is short and the world
is at least half terrible, and for every kind
stranger, there is one who would break you,
though I keep this from my children. I am trying
to sell them the world. Any decent realtor,
walking you through a real sh****le, chirps on
about good bones: This place could be beautiful,
right? You could make this place beautiful.

Boundaries are meeting places. Finding our boundaries allows us to meet ourselves. Sharing our boundaries allow us to be known and met. Learning to do this while saying in connection? This is where boundaries are a practice.

YES, NO, MAYBE: a compassionate boundaries workshop is coming up next week. Join us to feel into your edges and desires, and to take action through the practice of communicating these boundaries.

This is a 2-hr online workshop happening twice, on November 13 (BIPOC) + November 15 (all bodies). Priced for accessibility, $33-55. Link to register in bio.

There is no one correct response here. There is no shame in overwhelm. It is a sign of heart and humanity as much as any other response. Let us practice the world we want with each other.

I am not interested in “goodness” or “badness”. The teachings of love are not about morality. They are about recovering our essential nature. They are practices for returning to ourselves.

Join me in these practices of remembering and reconnecting, with ourselves and with each other.

Which seeds are you planting? What are you watering with your attention? What are the sprouts you are nurturing with repetition, so they grow and bloom? What fruit are you cultivating with your attention?

Let’s practice together.

Love is a practice is a gentle, small group 6-week program. We begin September 25.

05/09/2023

Conflict is part of any relationship. But, what if it didn't need to be so hard?

What if you had the skills and capacities to move through personal and professional conflict in a way that felt less stressful, and more generative?

Love is a practice is back on September 25. This is a 6-week, hands-on class, where we will build the muscles for:

Mindfulness Practice: Discover the power of mindfulness and self-connection, so that you can grow your threshold of capacity for when things get tense.

Effective Communication: Listen better to yourself and the dynamic, and express yourself more authentically to move toward real resolutions.

Better Relationships: Experience how conflicts can actually strengthen connections, when handled with skill and care.

Intentional community: Connect with like-minded folks through the class, and a month of free access to the KIN circle practice space.

Tiered pricing available. All the details, and feedback from previous rounds in the usual place!

Our Story

Anxious? Depressed? Feeling disconnected?
Pranasacral offers a trauma-sensitive, non-invasive and integrative approach to your physical body, emotions, beliefs and spirit.

Digestive disorders, chronic pain and insomnia all indicate a stressed system. We will work together to meet your nervous system where it’s at, and align with your resiliency. By reconnecting to your innate capacity for health, you can move away from pain, anxiety and despair. As your capacity grows, you deepen into ease, joy and connection.

What to expect: The client remains fully clothed, while the therapist uses her hands to listen to the body. Informed by neuroscience, embodied anatomy and polyvagal theory, the client and therapist work together to allow the nervous system, organs and musculo-skeletal system to unwind tension patterns and trauma. This allows the body to release restrictions and correct imbalances, resulting in greater well-being, deeper relaxation and less pain. Mindfulness and yoga strategies may be incorporated to support the process.
