We protest what was once an American Dream
Exploiting our freedoms, torching our flags, burning our country with the medias gasoline.
Then what? Stand back and watch it burn? Our legacy our home that our forefathers earned? Haven't we learned?
Some Revolution..
De-Evolution through the spread of hate, misguided youth, and seperated state. We're too much alike that we cant relate.
We've forgotten the WE made America great.
United we stood but divided we will fall.
Our Revolution should start with Love. There we find our redemtion in God above.
With shutting down all schools-what are they going to do when all of the children learn to think for themselves!?
What if you knew exactly when you would die? Go ahead and mark it on the calendar with a big Red X. 30 Days to X.
You now have 30 days to live. What would you do? How would you spend your last days, minutes, seconds?
Do you even have a bucket list? Could you recall what was on it in the first place or would it even matter? How will it happen? C’mon you’re wasting precious time!
If dead men could talk they would tell you that it’s not the big disasters that finish you off. No blazing inferno, mass destruction or sinking ship. It’s the little nuances and festering bits of guilt and regret that grind us down. It’s the friends you grew away from, being too busy to play catch, spoiled food in the back of the fridge, dirty clothes on the floor, the raise you never asked for, forgetting to call your Mother. The sheer mass of these petty annoyances, create the monsters that kill us long before we die.
For some, the changes in their lives would be drastic and lavish. For others, they start out with small changes like spending more time with their spouses or their kids. Even a few minor changes can change everything.
One thing would be for sure, like submitting your resignation at a job you hate, every moment will be sweetened with nostalgia and rapidly acquired wisdom from what you overlooked in the simplicity of it all.
Clean
Shave and get yourself a Haircut. Get a massage, Get two. Clean under your fingernails and get a manicure. Pamper yourself for God’s sake.
Clean your bathroom, including the medicine cabinet. Clean your car. Pull everything out and wipe behind it. Vacuum and mop your floors. Do the laundry and press your clothes. Discard everything except your most important legal documents, pay your past due bills and trash the old bank statements. Throw all your p**n in the garbage and delete your browser history. You don’t want your friends and family muddling through your garbage when you die, and you can’t live life when you’re swimming in it.
Call your Mom
Call everyone you’ve known and say something nice. Email your “friends” that you’ve only seen pictures of in the last 10 years. No matter how much you resent them, or petty arguments, let it go. Identify something positive and praise that something. Say how jealous you were of their car, house or beautiful family. Yes, this is a huge humiliation, but you have nothing to lose? Letting go of grudges and embracing forgiveness might be one of healthiest decisions a person can make. In general, the only person hurt and impacted by holding onto bitterness and resentment is you. Forget your self-pity. Forgive everybody and most of all forgive yourself.
Spend real time with your Family
Your children will have plenty of role models come and go throughout their life, but the most profound image and example they ever have will be the way in which you lived and loved. Hold the ones that you love the most and tell them how much they mean to you. Leave a legacy. Turn off the phone and toss the ball. Eat dinner at the table, in your own home. Make love to your spouse, take your precious time, then do it again.
Beyond that, fully imagine your death; it’s not that scary. All too often we ignore how invaluable our time here really is. Time is a non-renewable resource that we discard on a very regular basis. In fact it’s not until it’s expired that we finally realize how beautiful and precious it truly is. After all, life is for living, not dying.
I challenge you to live the next 30 days as if it’s your last, not because you’re going to die in a month, because if you live the next month as if it’s your last at the end of the month you’ll be more alive than ever before.
