Do not expect to find design details in Chicago Building Code, International Code Council, and National Fire Protection Association documents that will provide for a robust, redundant, and reliable multi-zone or multi-level fire protection water supply for a high rise building. In NFPA Standard No. 14, you can find a requirement to provide two or more supply pipes (express risers) to the higher zones. But, there are no details on isolation valve locations and the use of supply loops to these express risers and then to the standpipes in the higher zones. MAPS has the experience and knowledge to assist. Message us with your project details!
