Busy couple of weeks for Zhu, he has come 2nd in a British Novice class at Pyecombe then last week went better for his first 🏆 win in a BN class. Today I took him to Felbridge to do his first dressage test. We managed to follow the test route with some nice moments but inattentive and not sure about the boards. Scored 66.5% for 2nd place in P15. Great venue to go to as it was a relaxed atmosphere but lots for the young ones to look at.

It was nice to take part in the competition at Hickstead on Zhu. He jumped the novice class on Friday and then the Arena Eventing on Sunday where he was placed 6th- gaining his first ever rosette. Now the stud season is over , planning on doing a few things with him

Nice outing today on Zhu - he is growing in confidence with each trip out.

Making more time for Zhu …. He has grown into a tall kind horse. Planning on some jumping shows as he really enjoys it then hopefully some dressage later this spring .

Adding some variety to Zhu’s work with some small xc fences at Hickstead arena Eventing hire. Doing some jumping has helped him strengthen and improve balance.
Finally managed to get Zhu out for his first time away from home schooling . He travelled well and settled fairly quickly in a new atmosphere. Looking forward to doing few shows next year

Very pleasant morning judging at Hickstead Premier league dressage - lovely weather and great horses. Then watched an hour of the Grand Prix in the evening
