The brand was created in 2013 by Nika Babayeva, who was born in Baku (Azerbaijan) and worked in many European countries before she moved to London to attend fashion design and styling courses at the Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion. Interest in portrait and fashion photography has also given her possibility to mix in with muses and models of the fashion industry. Being a Chelsea resident for many years, rubbing shoulders with London’s party elite and photographing fashion portfolios, some Nika’s friends would ask her to design them t-shirts using Nika’s own photographs. What started off as a bit of fun between friends emerged into a need to create a brand. Rock and Model uses photographs and artworks of Nika’s own and of other artists. To this day, the t-shirts’ demand is ever growing and for such a young company this is testament to Nika’s personality, creativity, and lifestyle. T-shirts are available in some trendy boutiques of London and Baku. Rock and Model is closely following the fashion news and designs garments in accordance with current trends.
