So...if you've never bought vintage before,(welcome to a whole new world!) please do bear in mind before purchasing that: old textiles and products may show bumps, stitch marks, old seam lines, pattern wobbles, colour variations, slight imperfections…and also the gorgeous patina of age and long loving use, which is what gives vintage items their uniqueness (if there are any large flaws/fades, we'll always mention them when listing, but please don’t expect a new, pristine mass-produced product; vintage is unique and the joy of it is in its age). For our truly vintage 1950s, 60s and 1970s fabric, if we have a lot of material, we will use it front and back on cushions, but if we have to use a plain back it's because we are down to our last square - but a square that needs to be used due to rarity and gorgeousness or just because it looks lost and lonely! We also make vintage inspired cushions from modern fabrics that are just too hard to resist! Sizes are approximate as vintage fabric has varying give in it, allow a half inch variation from listing. All cushion cover fabric has been painstakingly unpicked, repaired and re-purposed from vintage items, hand-finished and pre-laundered gently by l’il old us, (please note that vintage fabrics should be hand-washed at 30˚ with a gentle detergent, drip-dried and cool-ironed on reverse to avoid/slow down further deterioration. Don’t use fabric softener as it yellows the fabric and speeds decay). All cushion cover designs are made with an envelope fold and are supplied with duck feather inners. If fabrics are vintage inspired and not true vintage, we will make sure you are aware of this before you buy.
