I'm pleased to announce my latest album on Groove Unlimited. "Color The Mind". A magical journey through intriguing textures and soundscapes. Every track takes you on a different path, with unique combinations of atmospheric sounds, harmonies and melodies. The album showcases my creative exploration of new directions, with a couple more classic Berlin School pieces designed to keep the listener immersed in the music. Kaleidoscopic rhythms and colors, the album aims to stimulate the mind and evoke a range of emotions. It's an experience that takes you on an otherworldly adventure of the senses.

The prolific ambient spacemusic artist Paul Ellis released several great recordings last year, most of which we are remiss in playing. We will fix that on this week's edition of the program, by including a selection from his recent "Five Bliss Machines on the Infinite Stage" as well as from his collaboration with Jared White, "Unbroken Spirit".

One Paul Ellis recording we featured quite a bit on the show was his collaboration with Pabellon Sintetico, "Clouds and Terrain", and will be also be hearing a selection from that great album. And speaking of Pabellon Sintetico, we will include a track from his recording released at the end of 2021, "Instructions for building an orange".

Sound and Vision is giving Pablo Bilbao and my album Clouds and Terrain a play on their best of 2022 roundup.

This weeks best of 2022 is our final in the series, and focuses on the best releases from October - December. Our first set will be very diverse, and will include a rhythmic selection from that great release, "Clouds and Terrain" by Paul Ellis and Pabellon Sintetico, a track from the great "alternadustrial" cassette release by Peter Jennings Disciples, "Bad News", a piece from John Carptenter's Halloween Ends soundtrack and an organic and ethereal selection from Forest Fang's "The Lost Seasons of Amorphia".

A nice 5 star review for Clouds and Terrain. The reviewer seems to think I only did the floaty stuff, but I did a good amount of the Drums and Bass here. (Probably because for years I avoided using drum machines in space music. I just thought the interlocking sequencers were the best rhythm section for that style. But I can do drums and bass!!! 😉) I've done a few collaborations in my time, but this album was rewarding in that it was about 50/50 between myself and Pablo Bilbao . He is a great musician and it was a pleasure to create with him.

Today is the release date for "Clouds and Terrain" a collaboration I did with Pablo Bilbao . This should appeal to fans of Schmoelling era Tangerine Dream, Ulrich Schnauss, William Orbit. More rhythmic based than my usual Spacemusic. Working with Pablo was a pleasure. I'm very happy with how this album turned out. Enjoy!
