Here are the results of a study done with some Harvard graduates around setting goals ...
➡️ 84% of them don’t set goals
➡️ 13% set them but don’t write them down
➡️ 3% set them AND write them down

We all know the importance of knowing our ‘why.’ To make your goals motivating, also write down ‘why’ this goal is valuable and important to you.

Ask yourself, "If I were to share my goal with others, what would I tell them to convince them it was a worthwhile goal?"

𝐓𝐢𝐩 #𝟒: 𝐊𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐎𝐧 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥
Keep your goals in front of you and look at them every day. Studies show that if you don’t look at your goals for more than 3 days, it’s like you never set them in the first place. So, if you don’t look at them over the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), that’s 3 days and it’s no wonder we feel lost when Monday rolls around.

𝐓𝐢𝐩 #𝟓: 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬
Do you have a tracking sheet or something that will allow you to check things off as you achieve them? There is great motivation in being able to check things off! Remember, focus on IPA’s - Income Producing Activities. Don’t let yourself get lost in everything else going on around you.

I want to thank you for being a treasured member of my community. I love the work I get to do and how wonderful it is that the internet can bring us all together no matter where we live.

My Christmas wish is that you are able to spend time with your family and the ones you love.

As we all scroll through Facebook and Instagram, and LinkedIn, and Pinterest and, and, and: do you feel overwhelmed by the platforms that are out there. As well as wanting to be on all of them?

I used to want to be out there on everything until I realized all I was doing was spending my days on social media and not actually building my business … have you been there?

When you become a master of whatever you do, your level of success is so much higher than spreading yourself too thin.

Social media can be a blessing and a curse ... we’re able to form relationships and offer support with incredible people from all over the world, but we don’t own these platforms and can lose a lot if they shut you down (I know first hand).

Here are the 3 S’s You Should Be Doing And 1 S You Shouldn’t on social media:

💯SELLING - SERVING - SYSTEMATIZING

🚫 SCROLLING

“𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃” 💯
𝑺𝑬𝑹𝑽𝑬. Serve and serve more than you ask. Share valuable content and free resources.
𝑺𝑬𝑳𝑳. Sell something everyday on your social media. And I don’t mean a hard sell. You can soft sell on your stories and posts. You can sell during your launch. Just be sharing/selling everyday.
𝑺𝒀𝑺𝑻𝑬𝑴𝑨𝑻𝑰𝒁𝑬. Create systems in your business that can be automated so it gets you out of the overwhelm. For example, if you struggle with what to write for content, set aside a couple hours to write out more than one piece of content and schedule it to be dripped out.

“𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃𝐍’𝐓” 🚫
𝑺𝑪𝑹𝑶𝑳𝑳. Scrolling for hours - even if you think it’s only been a couple minutes - can be very draining. Your energy is drained, you become overwhelmed, and worse yet, you start comparing yourself to all the other “successful” coaches out there.

Pro Tip: Block off 30-60 minutes of time each day to be on social media. Consistency is better than constantly.

Out of all the excuses I hear about why things aren’t working or why goals aren’t being met, "lack of time" is what I hear the most.

❌ "If only I had a 72 hour day"
❌ "I need more hours in my day"
❌ "I'm still working a full time job - I'm juggling a lot!"
❌ "I'm just so busy - it's hard to find the time"

These are all real excuses I've heard time & time again.

And, listen … I'm not here to make you feel bad or undermine your busy schedule, but I am here to explain to you that you DO have time to work on your business.

Facts.
📌 It's about priority shifting.
📌 It's about letting things go that no longer serve you.
📌 It's about saying "no" more.
📌 It's about asking for help when you need it and not feeling like you need to do everything yourself.
📌 Think of your "why".
📌 Think of your "big vision".

Does your business help you achieve all of the things you want in life?!

❓ Like that dream house you're after?
❓ An income to more than support you?
❓ To have a business that impacts thousands?
❓ To give to others?
❓ To travel the world?

If not, then you need to start making your business a priority and learn to let go of the debilitating time excuse.

𝙒𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙢𝙖𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙮, 𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚 𝙗𝙚𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙮.

It's just about a shift in perspective!

And if others can do it, so can you!

The mind is a powerful thing!

Did you know that for every 5 minutes of negative talk that you listen to or speak about, it takes 55 minutes of straight positive talk to erase that 5 minutes? 🤯

Crazy, isn’t it?

It’s no wonder your mindset is the #1 killer of sales!!

Your subconscious mind goes to work on whatever you feed it. So, if you’re saying things like …

👉 If it weren’t for bad luck, I wouldn’t have any luck at all.
👉 I can’t sell
👉 I’m not a salesperson
👉 I don’t have the money
👉 This doesn’t work for me

… then your mind makes sure that you can’t do or have whatever you’re telling it.

Have you ever said to yourself, “What’s wrong with me?” (Me too 🙄)

BUT … when you say that, your mind goes to work on everything that’s wrong with you. It asks you back, “Do you want the whole list or just the top 10 things?”

It’s so critical to feed our mind with positive things - intentionally.

I do that everyday by doing 𝐦𝐲 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐉𝐀𝐌 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 … Journal, Affirmations, Mindset. I can totally tell when I haven’t started out my morning with my JAM session. Part of my journal is listing 10 things I’m thankful for because it’s really hard to have a negative mind frame when you are in gratitude.

You are in control of our own thoughts …
… Thoughts create feelings
… Feelings create actions (inactions)
… Actions (inactions) determine your results

Affirmations are a big part of creating positive thoughts that turn into positive feelings and positive actions.

One of the biggest things that can help take the pressure off of selling yourself is creating a framework in your business.

A framework is a process you use to help your clients move from where they are now to where they want to be. It’s the steps to the transformation you’re taking them through.

A framework will help you become an expert in your industry, create the right content to attract the right people to you, and to never have to sell yourself!!!

Your ego doesn’t become involved because now you’re talking about a framework and not you!

Your framework will continue to evolve and improve with every client you work with because you’re learning and growing and it will be reflected in your framework.

Your framework is what builds complete confidence in you, knowing that you can help your client(s) achieve their wildest dreams.

When you don’t have a framework, all of your scattered ideas and knowledge make you feel incompetent.

Hello impostor syndrome!

Here are 3 things to help you start creating (or tweaking) your framework …

➡ Know the type of people you want to help.

We can’t be everything to everybody, so narrow down the group of people you want to help. It makes creating your framework a lot easier.

➡ Know what problem or challenge you are trying to solve.

This will typically narrow your focus and help you attract those people that need that specific problem solved. Really, truly understand their wants and needs.

➡ Have enough expertise to solve the problem.

Understanding the issues and challenges of your clients and having enough expertise to solve it is critical. When you are aware of those things, you are ready to create a solution. That might look like a step by step process or something that’s more categorical.

Your framework 𝗜𝗦 what your clients are looking for.

Organize those scattered ideas and attract your dream clients.

Back in the day (aka the first few years of my biz), I was doing a lot of activities that made me feel like I was making progress...
.. but they did nothing to actually move me forward.

So I thought it would be a good time to address some of them, in case you're making some of them yourself.

Here's what I've seen (and done)...

📍 Thinking there is only one way to build your business. If I didn’t do it like everyone else, then I wouldn’t be successful.

📍 Consuming every piece of free content you can find. You’re in constant danger of information overload which will keep you stuck right where you are.

📍 Trying to piece-meal content from 100 different coaches/consultants to create your program. You’ll always feel out of alignment because it doesn’t flow for you.

📍 Treating your coaching business like a hobby. If you treat it as a hobby, that’s what your checks will look like and if you treat it as a career, that’s what your checks will look like!

📍 Letting your scarcity mindset run your enrollment conversations. Amazing coaching program + learning to sell without the sleaze = key to a thriving and profitable business.

📍 Trying to sell your coaching program instead of a solution. That’s what is making it feel yucky and salesy. Sell the solution, result or transformation your clients will get after working with you.

📍 Thinking you can have a business without putting yourself out there. This is the idea that if you put up your website "shingle," they will come. There are probably a gazillion websites on the internet, no one is going to find your website magically without some effort on your part.

📍 Thinking you can market your business sporadically. You've got to put yourself out there consistently.

You’ve probably heard the quote that ‘the subconscious mind controls 90-95% of what we do on a daily basis.’

What does that mean for business?

It means that, while your business strategies are important, your business mindset is controlling most of your results. Whoa!

Do you ever find yourself thinking things like,
😕 “I can’t find any clients.”
😕 “I’m not good at sales.”
😕 “I’m so useless! I always mess things up.”
😕 “Why take a chance - I will probably fail anyway?”
😕 “I’ve made so many mistakes, I don’t deserve to succeed.”

Every time a client has a breakthrough during a coaching session with me or has that inspired, soul-filling “aha” moment during a group program ... it happens.

… She stands a little taller.
… She gets a little stronger.
… She grows in her confidence.
… She steps into her power.

But, guess what?

When you have your life and business breakthroughs, you release more of what was holding you back from your joy.

The thing is, our brains (ego) love to keep us safe. They’re good at that. 𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙮 𝙖𝙡𝙨𝙤 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙪𝙨 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙨𝙤𝙢𝙚𝙩𝙞𝙢𝙚𝙨. Even the most successful women are putting limits on their joy.

So, let me ask you a question …

… What could you do in 30-60 days if you had true support?

I work with my clients to really figure out where their ideal client hangs out and only choose one or two platforms to start. Become brilliant at those. Learn everything there is to learn about your chosen platform and engage with sincerity and support.
